This resurrected thread reminds me of a R2R (or someone else maybe) software post over on the sister site. The developer himself began commenting on it, shaking his finger at everyone... except someone over there noticed that one of his product video demos on YouTube had an Air or someone cracked software. Do you remember anything about this?

Just want to put things into context. Steve Jobs the co-founder of a computer company called Apple began building computers with stolen chips and money made from selling devices to make free long distance calls (ie ripping off the phone company). I do remember a producer some time ago using a VR plugin in a YT video.
Not the only one, but I laugued specially hard at this one.

 

Then there was the time Microsoft got caught using pirated copies of SoundForge to create the audio for XP's Media Player:
