Hi

I´ve searched pretty much on this issiue here, and found almost nothing .... hope its the right place for my question!

I´ve installed (several times now) Wavelab6 and even Wavelab5 on both a Win7 32 and 64 bit system.... problem is: It runs ok for a few days, and then it begins to crash over and over!

Is there some kind of work around this issiue, or do I have to live with the fact that Win7 cant be used as an OS for Wavelab5 & Wavelab6??

I´m sorry to say thats it has to be a computer releated issue.

Im running Wavelab6 on 3 Win systems. Win7 64bit,Win7 32bit, WinXP 32bit

No problems at all. I am using it for mastering. Since years without any problem.

The only issue i know about is that in some cases ".NET FRAMEWORK" + "Visual C++" components need to be installed seperately to solve some display releated issues with some 3rd Party plugins like Waves ...

EDIT: Can you give us an explanation in which cases/situations Wavelab crashes?

 

It starts up as usual (reads plugs and stuff) and after a few seconds it just closes down - thats it!

 

What will be if you start wl with shift key to avoid plug scanning ?
Someone plugin is problem maybe.

The big problem i am having is when im mastering in Wavelab 6 and i when I load all the mastering effects etc and i cant seem to save it . when i load the same song up again all settings are lost. THis is a huge time waster coz i have to keep applying all the mastering effects again. AM i doing something wrong here.

dont know if this helps but you can try to temporay finish your work ,
answer by two guys,

1st- 4130 I'd love to know the answer to this because it happened enough times to me that I've given up on it. Now I just save the Master Section preset separately and backup that file into the session folder at the end of the day. It's annoying, but at least it always works.

2nd- Mike Couzzi Hi if you open your file in a Montage window instead. it makes it easier to store Master Section settings.
In Montage Edit-Special-Store current master sections Configuration.
To bring settings back in Montage Edit-Special-Restore Master section Etc...
I gave up doing it the other after too many lost settings.

labosoThanks for your input guys, I tried it the way 4130 proposed it and it works nice and stable. Only thing is you have to copy the master section preset file in it's initial folder to load the projects chains... But it works like a charm, thanks...

Of some odd reason I just had to do a reinstall ..... works like a charm now ..... thanks for all help provided
