It's a $200 program, as it stands. We have to buy their computers to run it. Some of us buy Mac laptops to run it with, portably.

There is 0 chance of this.

I don't mean 10. I mean anything from Apple, actually. If you cannot afford what they are selling; you are more than welcome to go buy something else. They do not give a rats ass. Why would an entry-level wearable VR cost $4000? If people were paying a subscription fee; they would expect frequent updates. That's not going to happen either. Look at the "protection" they use for it. It's close to none. They know, in the greater scheme of things that they are selling computers (and iPhones). That is their business model. If someone gets jacked around or feels like that, about a $200 program; that someone can skip out of buying a new $3000 Macbook Pro.

I don't think Apple is trying to compete with Lenovo, etc., and I don't know if they need to. It's simply there to buy if you want it and a number of people do buy it.

    Just my $.02

actually their business model is the App Store monopoly, the hardware is all owned by the stock exchange now, Apple has to deliver promises to them not their users

By the way, have you tried logic 10.8 on somona and m1 Mac?
