again listing the STEPS reqired to make a midi clip doesnt fix my problem that i dont like that theres steps. im well aware on how to make a midi clip in cubase. im simpling stating one of my biggest issues with the daw. and you and many others just keep saying "just do this" when first i am well aware on how to do it and second you are highlighting the very reason i dont like it. lol me crituqing a daw on a audio forum shouldnt be making anyone upset esp becasue i never bashed the daw i simply have a few workflow issues.

I just stopped the time: alt+drag takes 250ms for me in Cubase, double-clicking in Studio One takes 260ms until I get a midiclip, so Cubase has won for me here.
I'm actually a little disappointed that it's taking so long in Studio One. Why isn't just one single click enough to create a clip?

You can hold alt and click-drag on a MIDI track wherever you want your new clip.

Haha yeah I caught on too, hence the click faster comment but I agree. I thought only FL users were like that. Proved me wrong.

 

Thx. Yeah, I am exploring the new stuff in Cubase 13 right now, and they are by far the best stock plugins, like in Ableton also.
Haven't tried the vocal chain plugin yet, but I will give it a go tonight.
