I have a couple of Boss EV-500L's. I have no doubt they will be working like new long after everyone here is jammin with Jimi

 

I have been playing around with this pedal since I got it a day or so ago and it just works. NO bells or whistles on it just an E-Pedal. I like it.

 

O so you only have it since a day or 2? So you can't tell about its reliability on the long term.

 

What are people's thoughts regarding optical vs potentiometer expression pedals?

It was one of the deciding factors when I purchased my Weeping Demon pedal, I figured optical wouldn't wear out and introduce noise so quickly but I was never sure whether this was a snake oil feature.

No. Like I said I was looking for one just like you are (for a long while actually) and I believe I have now finally found one. I stumbled upon it while following some of the suggestions mentioned here in this thread actually.

I need to vacuum first. I live in a place that is incredibly dusty, even more so than when I lived on a dirt road and any time a car drove by it would kick up particulates. I haven't had a good chance to clean up since we came home from vacation and need to do so as I'll be out of commission after going under the knife on Friday for hernia surgery. Thanks for asking, it'll kick me into gear.
