The instructions seem quite simple but I can't make them work. They are..."Paste this (ch_GKCRjIb3nr9jba) and then run the host blocker and enjoy." Simple enough.

However, firstly, the default installation path didn't show anything in my DAW. (I'm running Windows 10, and using n-Track, which I like a lot.) This is the path...C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins.

I did have success with another path...C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Steinberg\VST2. The five Captain applications showed up as instruments. However, I didn't understand if I needed to enter the license number for each of the 5 apps or only one of the five. Also, after entering the license number, there is a button to push that says "Get In." When I pushed it I got a dialog that told me to get a valid license. Then running the host patch didn't have any effect.

I uninstalled and tried a few different ways to install it (uninstalling each time) with no luck. What do you think?

 

When a license data is rejected like this, it is either because the data supplied to it is wrong/invalid format; or it is because you are actually submitting that data to their server for authentication. So of course it will be rejected. You need to be using an Offline Registration method or it's going to go and try to verify the key.

Since your instructions mention running a "host blocker", usually those are just a set of commands in a batch. It makes it convenient and easy. But that doesn't mean you cannot just go to your hosts file and edit in the same information. There is no reason to block something halfway through an installation. You can block the same things in your hosts file before ever running the installer. You can also firewall in the application, the installed plugins etc. as a secondary step.

When you are uninstalling and reinstalling, are you using Revo? You may not need to with this, but you will always be better off using it.

If the bundle of plugins you are installing is sold as one bundle, you normally only need to enter the key into any of them. But if they are all sold separately and just manually put together into an archive; you usually will have to register each individual one.
