do you use your real personal phone number to register?

Ive been wanting to join some groups but im a bit weary of joining them with my number.

 

Can't say for telegram in particular, but I'd use a 'burner' phone number for all accounts that you can, and keep your 'primary' phone for your e.g. bank, personal email.. well, serious business

It's just security hygiene and ease of management. And should be super cheap..

 

I think you should not use telegram download bots, because in majority they contain virus and may harm your device
