Hi, my name is Maxi and I need help to dont screw it up! I have an audient id 44 mk1 and an atomic reactor fr50 (https://atomicamps.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Reactor_Series_Manual.pdf)
What i need to do is to record my guitar using the preamp inside my amp, but im having some doubts. What about the through or the speaker jack output (8) in the image? Could them be connected directly to my audio interface?

Never connect anything other than a speaker (or power soak) to a Speaker Out jack. It can ruin the amp and the device connected to it, start a fire, maybe shock you. I'm not sure about the Thru you mentioned.

you have a thru on the amp, that should help (that normally is a copy of the XLR input in this case)

Thx both for the answers! About the thru i have the same doubt, its not after the preamp, right? It's just another clean signal before it as far i understand and you explained Ariel. I want to record the signal after the preamp but it dont know how to do it and i didnt want to ruin anything as krameri stated!

Looking at the manual, It seems to me as if... you can't. Not without expensive transformer gear or modding. I suggest either you just skip it and find a virtual guitar rig in the box you like, or get a mic and mic your cabinet.
Possibly you can find a ToneX capture like the kids do these days?? I don't know how rare that setup us...

BTW remember your preamp sound is going to suck without the cabinet, so you'd need to replicate that with an ir anyway. Honestly, my recommendation would be plug your guitar into the interface, skip your amp and find a sound via software unless you're able to mic.
