Just wondering - when toying around with Kiloheats and its presets I often have a CPU load of 100%.
Does this make sense?
Should I wary and check my system set-up

I am using Studio one
I have 32 GB ram
And this processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

What version of kiloHearts are you using? 2.1.2? previous 2.1.1? any? CE or legit?

Can you indicate a preset name (and plugin), specifically? (in order to attempt to reproduce - however I don't use Studio One, only Bitwig Studio, or REAPER).

Phase Plant can have intensive presets, yes, but not 100% usage worthy. Try playing around with buffer sizes or compatibility options in your DAW.

 

If you're messing with Phase Plant and hitting extreme usage, try disabling the "poly" tab over the FX lanes, because when it's enabled it applies the fx to each and every voice individually as opposed to collectively, this can save a ton of processing power. Also lowering the overall polyphony in the bottom panel is a good option as well.

Never had any peak like this, even when using very complex patches that include Phaseplant and multipass together....
