Version 2.8 was already awesome.

From the look of it, this new version is just incredible: The kind of synth that could keep you busy for the next ten years due to its depth.

It seems to be on par or exceed some of the latest hardware synths (Montage, Fantom, Kronos, Kurzweil...).

 

im sure they wont release falcon 3 ilok is a c***load of work and they dont bother anymore with ilok sadly

Why would they break something and then release it so quickly? All that does is let UVI change the protection again so they can do their work again. Instead, kept quiet and UVI has no clue it's already a cooked goose. Expansions with no changes are sold that entire time. Breaking it as soon as possible makes sense; but so does not letting them know about it.

It doesn't even look like they have changed that much yet, from that posted changelog document.

It is a free update for existing users. Sweet. Downloading now, super slow. lol.

A Team like R2R on that Level loves to break the hardest protections.

Also keep in mind how it was with EastWest nobody supplied the Stuff to Crack it for a long time, but when it was supplied they started a Big Wave with both EastWest & Falcon.

 

They added Opal to the Effects. A lot of the changes I see at first quick go are the effects and a change in their appearance. New EQ like the free one. Shade still not included it seems. It looks like a very nice free upgrade for existing users. I guess worthy of using a new Version number. If you did not buy v2, I do not really see anything that should or will change your mind yet. If they charged more than about $50 to upgrade I would be on the fence about even upgrading.

Still works on High Sierra. Website says Mojave 10.14 but that is wrong.

As far as i know UVI did changes to the Protection directly after Falcon was cracked in the next Update. I agree that it's better to Wait some time

 

I Don't think so total different Things the ones you mentioned are at the first Place for Stage use. But Falcon as a Software Synth is a Monster i agree

 

I did not even need to open my iLok Manager. Wouldn't be a big surprise if they did not change that much about it either. Maybe they are happy enough just drinking French champagne with their Fruity Loops money.
