Hi guys. Do you know how I can restore the graphics on the front panel of Roland D10? Buying a replacement is nearly impossible at those times. One of the options could be a transparent plastic overlay, or something different. I dunno. Any suggestions?

 

Are you talking about envelope/la synthesis graphics? VCA, VCF?

 

Can you post a picture of the whole front ?
Depending on general aspect, you can print on white (and not transparent) so white will HIDE everything behind.

When doing transparent print, you need to be EXACTLY on the original proportions.
Can be "try again" until it works.

You need to use sticking papers.
You can print transparent OR white stickers on any good laser color printer.

Give Lexan decals/labels a look. Lexan is strong and very durable. You can't print them at home, but there are no-minimum print shops that will do the printing and die-cutting for you. Here's one of the first that showed up on Google.

Get an old dead junker maybe and glue its panel over the old one? Or scan it...

You may find some ppl to help you on specialized website.
To take straight and nice pictures.

Sadly, no digital layouts for such an old synth.

I might have to elaborate..

If you buy the largest they do on a transparent label, then take the exact measurements of the initial size you want from the original, and go to a quality printer store, and say you want that blown up to the exact size.

I think that could work.

ps. You might be able to get those dimensions directly from Roland if you write to them seeing as you are not at home.
