    Hey guys.
I have a question about the NAM modeler.
I have an original AxeFX Ultra. Just wondering if the NAM can captures presets off the axefx with all the effects?? Or does it only profile amp sounds?
There are only a handful of sounds I use from the axefx, and they are primarily for the effects (reverb delay etc)
Would be good if I can make the NAM do these sounds and then I can get rid of the axefx :)

NAM can't capture FX, only pedals and amps with or without cabs.

Though, note that sometimes amp-only profiles give the best results; full rig profiles need a low-pass eq most of the times.

Agreed. Amp only works best to me too. Not only because of the artifacts but I can use my favorite IRs with it. With Tonex too, I use amp only captures exclusively.

    Thanks for the reply guys.
I didn't think you would be able to. But I had my fingers crossed anyway lol

I love to push limits on testing.
Here is what i discovered with ToneX and NAM.

NAM loves preamp/amp only AND full chain
ToneX HATE preamp/amp only. Don't know why ... may be their heavy high freqs filtering trick.

That's why best ToneX captures are more on the clean to crunch side ... with cab in the capture.
If you want to stick with "amp only" + IR, use NAM.
    Especially with high gain.

The more you push gain, the more cab is predominant in the final sound.
Due to very complex harmonics content.

More gain = ToneX falling apart with "amp only" captures + IR

As a high gain metal head, i will not use ToneX again, only NAM.

Even if i use less and less profiling, due to endless "trying new things"
Now my fav is AmpHub 6505
