    Hello Guys,

I am specifically looking for a VST "Drum Library" like e.g. Addictive Drums with Dub/Reggae style drumkits.
I used to have Addictive Drums almost 11years before, so I dont know their current version and if it includes those Dub stuff I am looking for.

What would also be nice if it would have a "Midi" function where I could move the midi notes from the presets into the DAW and change them afterwards.

Been excited to hear your opinions and suggestions.
    Thank you.

Addictive Drums 2 is still nice, but it does not have that wide of a variety. Most dub/reggae drums are just done with regular drum kits and the real difference is in the effects processing. Or they come from drum machines and samplers, like the Rolands. Shipping anything large, like a complete drum set; to an island is very expensive. I would go with Toontrack EZdrummer. It's easier to install and setup than Superior Drummer, but they are from the same developer anyway, so the kits are pretty much interchangeable. Superior Drummer is nicer, and the more premium kits are for Superior; but they can also be much bigger commitment of storage space. If you are going to really dub them up with effects processing, the "realism and accuracy" might not be as important to you.

For drum machines, I would suggest getting the Roland Cloud machines and maybe UVI Falcon2 with the Drum Designer expansion. And there is always NI Kontakt so you have never-ending choices of libraries. Tal Drum is a nice sampler for just drums. Drumkits from Mars has samples from almost every drum machine imaginable.

Look into BFD and maybe that is an option to explore too.

I'd love a UJAM Dub Reggae series.

Maybe something like FXPansion Geist with a reggae kit. Or design your own in Geist and affect every drum part with the dub effects of your choosing. It's like a DAW within a DAW.

Try Superior with the Hitmaker sdx. Or the actual reggae ezx for EZdrummer.

Moving drum midi into the DAW is why I suggested Falcon2 Drum Designer. You just drag from the plugin to your DAW Midi channel and it moves the midi pattern there, and then you can assign it to whatever virtual instrument or sampler that you want.

Another search term to use when you are looking for this content is Dancehall. Ragga will mostly just get you vocal acapellas.

Sorry for my late reply and thanks for all your input. In the end I bought a drum library from Drum Drops. Its ok for the time being, it has Battery 4 Kits included but unfortunately no midi presets so I have to program it by myself.
