I always see this back and forward about paid and cracked plugins ... We collect thousands of plugins and only use not even half of them most of the time but still waiting for something new to come out yes thats why im here i like new shit just like yall so yeah im talking about myself as well ...and im guilty i like new stuff and updates and shit like that but at the same time i notice when we are like this u are always wanting something.... u can be in denial about it all you want.....you not safe with paid or cracked plugins u can have all the cracked or paid plugins u want but still not make any money a lot of people here just make music for the hell of it or just for fun or to get they minds off of real life the other half really do make money from making music ....now be honest how many plugins are u using 100 percent or 50 percent or 20 percent ? be very honest u lying to me isn't helping u at all so be honest with yourself how many plugins u actually using in your projects and sessions .....the thing is thinking that a crack plugin or paid plugin will changed your life is a myth if u can't do it with what u have already then it's not a great idea to keep that fantasy in your head ....back in the day they didn't have half of the shit we have and we take advantage of it and just look at it and some of us observe it and brag about the software and hardware to make ourselves feel superior to others to gain validation to make ourselves feel good..... a plugin is not going to make u get signed to a label .......im not attacking nobody like i said i do it myself if im am attacking somebody it would be myself as well as others here but im just addressing something that we should take a look at and talk about it and not just sweep it under a rug ........'' i need that plugin then im good we always say that shit then we looking for another one to replace it wtf lol
some developers are assholes and don't give u a dam demo to they products which is fucking weird as shit so this place is a great place to get that shit cracked so we can try that stuff out and a lot of it is trash which explains why they never had a demo then some of it is good but they for some reason decide not to have a demo

there are no bad or good plugins. there is something that suits you or doesn’t suit you. when you gain experience, you will weed out everything that is unnecessary to you

That's some lorem ipsum level shit you pulled out right there.

Plugins are kind of a sex toy to me. I use them, enjoy them, but eventually they get boring and moldy and you start to wonder where is that itching coming from but then you go to the doctor and he finds like 37 STDs in you and you're like fuck that i'm here becasue of the itch not becasue of the la2a emulation constricting my balls.

Point is, it's just another thing to have fun with, like videogames or movies or whatever.

Guess we kinda had similar thread, I'm actually using everything I got, some things more than others, for example would use Polysix for one bass patch or Nexus for 3-4 patches I like and stuff like that, but different strokes for different folks, I don't think my gear limits my creativity or I would make better music if I had something else or would make better music if I had even less, I tried everything and found what really works for me.

But probably there are some guy right now thinking if only he had analog console he will reach the sky or someone else thinking that next uncracked plugin is all it takes to fall in nirvana, dunno, whatever keeps one from jumping. :dunno:

I don't think about them that much. At the end of the day, are you sure they really paid for the plugin? Did they show you a receipt? IS IT A REAL RECEIPT? WHAT IS REALITY?

I guess what i'm trying to say here is that taking things like these too seriously (specially in the internets) is just not worth it. I know i'm supposed to pay for plugins, i know cracks exist, and i know why i use one or the other. Comments of all kinds (bragging included) might give something to think about at best, but that's it.

I stopped collecting plugins years ago which was a good thing, because i deleted everything i don't need an saved hdd space also i foccused more on the main thing which is making Music with the Plugins and digged more into finding new techniques and get to know my go to Plugins way better. Nowadays i try new stuff which could fit my workflow but if it doesen't it gets deleted. Also most of the Plugins i own legit i use the cracked version because of the better performance espacalliy from R2R. So for me i use all plugins that i have not in every project but now and than depending on the music genre .

There used to be a building in Bangkok where you could get every software program in the world - from Acid Loops to Windows XP etc., and all sorts of other software - including my company's products, complete with PDFs of manuals I had written. For $1 each.

I use this example bc most people in Thailand (and by extension, SE Asia or Africa, etc) couldn't afford full MSRP on ANY software - never mind audio plugins. "Piracy" was a necessity.

And it still is. Middle class kids get too small allowances to afford all that they need to "function" as teenagers. And grandpa and grandma can only fork out so much. When I was a student in music school, I survived on $50 for the entire first semester (room and board were paid for - $50 is all I had left). As I started gigging, touring, making my own money, I was able to buy more keyboards and samplers (and custom flight cases), and eventually, my own recording studio... but I sure wish I'd had much of that gear earlier on in life.

Back to plugins and software: it benefits a company to have younger musicians/would be producers learn their craft on their software or plugins. When they start earning money from their craft, they will naturally upgrade and pay for that company's products. It's a marketing seed, so to speak: you plant the seed in young, fertile soil, and 5-7 years later, you get a loyal customer. I know I am.
