Unity should be maintainted, yes, but if your bass fits to mine, I'll happily remove mine.

I'm as usual a little confused. Should I elaborate by creating, lets say, a guitar line, or just make a drum beat that compliments what you laid down? A few years ago I participated on something similar when bassdude created a very basic piano groove and a bunch of us added tracks which were mixed by Beth. Is this what you're going or?

Whatever you prefer. Guitar, bass, drums, cowbells, ... we need everything. But for now only one track per member (hoping that sufficient members participate).

    I need some idiot-proof clarifications guys ..;)

As I understand the result should be a shorter loop/phrase/impro-like recording/track played over the given rhythm section loop? i.e. a 4/8/16 bar wannabe-artsy noodling? (Not some longer song-like form..)

I kind of feel that "A" could (also) be the the tonal center with that bassline. Am I the only one? Not a minor scale though since the last three notes are E F# G (if I hear that right?) but A Dorian would fit IMO. Can someone check pls.*

*for the record: If it sounds good, it is good advocate here. Just asking.. f@ck theory heh

It's actually in a-minor and the bass starts with the root a, then goes down to e and d, to return back via e, f, e, g, g# to the root a. So I would say it's basically harmonic a-minor?

Since my pattern basically just four bars long it hardly makes a song. So my idea was to use some lines to combine them at the same time and one after the other, IYKWIM. If you have ideas for 16 or more bars, bring them on.

Er, well. Based on the notes I used I felt e minor would be the easiest way to go?
    And yes, e, f#, g is correct.

Damn, you'e the second one. I thought googledrive would work. When you open the spoiler you should see this
    [IMG]
The square on the top right opens the file in a new tab with a dl button - or at least it should. Maybe the square isn't visible but placing the cursor there works?
However, here's a different attempt (only temporarily hosted) https://gofile.io/d/saMQXa

You might have to have a gmail account for a Drive link depending on how the permissions are set.

Permission is set to everyone who has the link, so this shouldn't be the problem.

No it shouldn't... I've seen it happen before, just something squirrely about G Drive I guess.
