I love the way Audition looks and functions, but the lack of VSTi integration makes it a multitrack editor, not a DAW. I have thought of using it with Loopback and making it work because I dig the audio editing so much, but alas here I am . . . searching . . . and searching. Another thing that comes to mind about Audition . . . it can be mostly substituted with an external editor like Acoustica, TwistedWave, Amadeus, RX, etc.

My own set to go now,, Live9+WaveLab [if i need to pre edit]. I had cpu problem if using other version or daw except PT never use it but i want, but....,
To me cpu is no.1, batch engine src no.2, copy paste no.3, slice no.4, no auto just manually no.5, lol

Logic does everything I need it for, but if it did not; I would be using Wavelab, too. It is easily my favorite wave editor. Followed by Soundforge.

As someone who grew up on reel to reel, then cassette 4 track, and having used every daw under the sun(I learned daws on pro tools, used it for 11 years).... REAPER would be my suggestion, and imo it aint even close

I have used Reason for 2 years , Cubase for 6 years and since beginning of 2023 Iam a Studio one User .
In terms of fast workflow I would take Studio one all the way because of its macros and stuff .
Cubase is good too but I choose S1
