I use ableton live 11 and windows, but this template opens, but plugins will not load:

Audio Unit v2 plug ins are not available on your operating system

Can someone please open this somehow for me and save this template properly, so i can use it. with plugins and their presets properly loaded.

 

Do you have all required plugins to open the project?

 

I have almost all plugins, yet to install fabfilter etc. But the issue it reports that my system doesnt have AU capabilities. It is windows.
I get this error, as stated in first post.

As I'm sure you"re aware, AU plugins are a Mac only format. To get the correct plugin format (VST2 or VST3) you just need to swap the AU plugins with the VST version. However, it's going to load the default "Init" preset. I really don't know why that Template was made with AUs.

 

Yes, so now I need someone to open and convert it properly if possible. So I can use it in windows with original sounds/preset. Possible to do it?

 

or....... You could contact the vendor you bought the product from, and tell them about your issue with thier product not working on pc.

Did you check if they have different versions for downloading the template for mac/pc?

 

Possible, but you would have to open every single instance of every AU plugin, save the preset, delete the AU and insert the VST version of it and reload the preset.

Edit: If there is any automation, this would also be lost I think.

 

Yes. That was the first thing I did. Wem@keMsc answered that I should write to creator and gave me code to buy one template for free. Creator still didnt reply.
I only got one DL link and it downloaded this compressed file. Extracted it gave normal folder with ableton project name and samples and one macos folder with same template name, but 1kb file size of template

 

I just saw that they sell these templates for 30,- Euros for learning purposes only.

If you want to make full use of it, you have to pay 750,- Euros for a broadcast license.

And it even doesn't work on Windows, that's ridiculous.

 

Yes, 30 eur is ok for me, since template sounds good, and i would use it for my musical ideas, melodies and all. Im into music for decades, but only in creating melodies and playing piano. And playing with sound design in some vsts. I needed this specific template so i could focus only on melodic and arrangement part, without loosing time on mastering and making all sound as it should. Ofc i would make my adjustments. That is why this template is important to me. I have lot of creative juice flowing while listening to drum and bass line.

 

I would say that the problem is that the template is made on MAC using AU, and you load it with PC/MAC to, no matter how much you use VST2 or VST3, the AU does not detect it.

The only thing you could do is that they will pass you the presets of ALL the AUs and load them again in each VST.

 

AU or VST?
Live on Mac supports both the Audio Unit (AU) and VST2 and VST3 (10.1 and later) formats. Which format you choose to use is up to you, bearing in mind the following tips:

• If sharing projects with Windows users, it's better to use VST. The VST format is cross platform. Provided the other user is using the same version of the plug-in, they'll be able to open the set and the plug-ins will be available. See our recommendations for transferring Live projects.
• Some AU plug-ins may have different preset handling than the VST, or vice versa. See our article on AU preset handling.
• AU plug-ins do not support a direct MIDI out. If you wish to route MIDI from a plug-in you need to use the VST version instead. See this article for info on how to access the MIDI outputs of a plug-in.
• Avoid using different plugin formats (AU, VST, VST3) of the same plug-in in a Live set.

 

I hope that creator comes with some solution

 

I use Ableton Live for windows.
There are no presets folders supplied with project... I guess since creator used AU version, i can not do anything but ask him to send me project with vst versions, or to send me preset for each of plugins he used so i can hopefully re add each vst vsti separately and load preset/setting...?

 

The only way would be to send you all the presets used in the plugins in a folder.
