Which One is the Best LA2A Plugin or the Closest?

    Setting the sidechain this way will make it behave like an Opto? Or is there more going on under the hood of Marquis?

    My understanding is that Opto (LA2A) behaviour boils down to an inertia type gain reduction + tube saturation. This article about TDR Kotelnikov has some insights under the inertia section: https://docs.tokyodawn.net/advanced-trickery-with-tdr-kotelnikov/

    This one would be the best if there was a release and drive knobs like NEOLD. The price on sale is hard to pass, though.

    THIS! DMG own an LA2a, Track Comp is one o few plugins that does the attack & release the same as the hardware.

    DMG as well, yes.
    I was trying to add as many names to the list as possible so this dude will have no choice but to download, install, test and AB all the plugins himself, or just randomly select one because there is no COMPLETE COMPARISON to sit back and watch with your popcorn, wheres the fkn sweat and blood?!?!?
