So basically, we have "attention wh*res" youtubers complaining about "attention wh*re" company being unkind with them ?
The most funny part is when ppl complain about "mistreated ppl" in the comments

Did they EVER seen a Chinese factory ?
You know ... the kind of factory producing YOUR computer, YOUR smarphone ... in fact almost everything around you
SEE how those ppl live before speaking about "nice companies VS bad companies".
THEY ALL TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE ANIMALS.

The only problem with AW YTers is THEY are treated "unkindly" ... they don"t give a sh*t about poor chinese ppl in factories.

What a stack of AW, self centered bullsh*t ...

PS : i'm french, not chinese. But i'm not the kind of ppl speaking about "humanity brotherhood" without having the conscientiousness along with it.

Here is a Foxconn factory (producing for : Apple, Sony, Motorola, Dell, Microsoft, Amazon, Nintendo, Hewlett-Packard, Samsung Group, BlackBerry, LG Group, HTC, Acer Incorporated, Asus, Lenovo, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE…)

The people that have the energy to fight companies with creepy ethics should be applauded. That is the extent of my opinion on this subject directly. I do not own Behringer gear but would gladly be educated about any questionable practice. Shitting on people posting info on forums like this without valuable opinions is problematic.

Well, except JD-800 (VH-10, VK-7 et al) those things were built out of trash, although some of the premium parts were made out of garbage, and stuck together using the most durable sticky tape ever invented? =)

Everyone likes to be ethical until it hits them in the wallet. Then it turns out to be pretty ethical to feed your family and take care of yourself.

I did not want to say that, but is fair to mention. Re: Roland and Yamaha, this is the wrong question. It's easy to say bad things about Chinese manufacturing when they have difficulty maintaining Quality while manufacturing dog food without product contamination. Childrens' toys made using lead paint stored in the same warehouse as the Fentanyl precursor chemicals. But you can see similar poor quality in many other countries too. Japanese manufacturing, on the other hand; is some of the most defect-free in the world; no matter what they are making. (besides automotive airbags, apparently).

I'm not sure how "ethical" buying stuff that will end up in a landfill actually is. If your kids or you are going to starve without a TD-3, I don't know what to say about that. But I do safely bet you will not have it in 10 years anyway.

There is a very big difference between price fixing, and paying people 3$ a day to work in the factory they live in and often jump off the roofs to kill themselves. That may be the iphone factory, but the point is the same. Also, price fixing that goes on with music gear does not exist in a bubble at the manufacturer level. The distributors drive the entire thing, so they don't have to honestly compete amongst themselves.

The only people I've ever met that I consider ethical in my lifetime, so far, was a family in the mountains of Peru when I stayed out there for a year on some self-discovery nonsense. Part of the reason is because they lived 100% off the natural land, down to the clothing on themselves. That was the extent of their exploitation, if you can consider it such. People have a subjective and or arbitrary standard of ethics (to be fair so did that family, and my judgment of them is as well) which many find a way to place themselves on top of, very selective like. In other words, people are full of crap and every cog here chooses to contribute to the same machine.

My point was NOT China in particular at all

    My point was :
    NO company is "ethical"
It is just bullsh*t "public relation" thing

In a capitalist system, a company is ONLY here to make money.
And the whole world is capitalist.

If Behringer become large enough, they will pay ppl to say good things about them.
I even wonder if some ppl just don't charge Behringer to get money or free stuff ...

PS : as a side note, MOST big companies produce in China ... even Yamaha

Japanese companies produce components all over the world, just like others. JIT "Just in time" inventory planning and Lean manufacturing is possible but extremely susceptible to disruption otherwise. I couldn't care less if people wish to buy junk.

Exactly what i'm saying : ALL companies act like that.
So WHY trying to put Behringer to shame, and not Roland, Yamaha ... whatever.

    THEY ALL ACT THE SAME

Side note : Ibanez (Japan) started making Gibson copies (called "Jibson" by guitarists :winker:).
And now they are top sellers in the big 4 (Gibson Fender PRS Ibanez) ... they get copied by china and taiwan factories.

Exactly my point about Behringer. They already make innovative products, and not only knock off.

I dont think the point is "they are all the same". I think the point is that some are a bunch of sanctimonious assholes disguising their attacks on others as if based on "ethics". I dont think they are "all the same", just that some manipulate on a giant scale and use their power to censor their target.

The fact that you singled out china and posted that piece of shit channel france24 as source is just more of the same. The wish to censor your economical contenders, and present is as a stand for "labor rights" or "freedom" or "democracy". That is the core and source of the problem.

Nobody is perfect, but some attempt to erase the competition from the face of the earth. That (!) is the problem.

The fiduciary responsibility of any corporation so intoned by Milton Friedman and so expoused by capitalists worldwide, be they either tiny or huge and everything in between, is..."There is one and only one social responsibility of business—to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits"...period.

This is best achieved by doing what it can to minimize overhead costs by any means lawfully possible (or what some can get away with). Near slave wages and conditions of low rung employees at the manufacturing level and nightmare scenarios of miners digging for raw materials in the mineral rich, majority of the population living in poverty countries, acquiring the lowest cost materials they can find and bribing gov't officials to skirt regulations and to hid tax loopholes in regulations are a few of the ways to achieve this. Behringer is no different than any other in this aspect.
