I think the world will keep turning and Loopop will miss out on a whole bunch of views, unless he decides to make a series of hilariously OTT "I hate Behringer" vids.

In the meantime, Behringer will keep on keeping on.

behringer removed comments online so they have gone too far?

if you commented on my facebook company profile about baseless IP claims and crying about chinese workers while you dont mind them slaving over parts destined for a MOOG or DAVE SMITH instrument, id wipe that shit quicker than a hot snot.

i say LONG LIVE BEHRINGER! interfaces are designed really well!

    Exactly.
The guys are criticizing Behringer but they use phones made with children's blood to make their videos..
    :deep_facepalm:

The problem is not Behringer, the problem is the whole world economy allowing countries that have no respect for their citizens and human rights to sell their products in ours.

(I'm out of this loss of times already feeded too much the clickbait)

it's funny we have people who buy them, and those who do not; and also people who always end up in threads such as this, just to tell people we don't need more discussions about it. The company obviously care about the noise to signal ratio they generate, or they wouldn't be doing so many press releases about synths they are not even building yet, or even know if they will build them.

"just stopping by to comment in the thread to tell you not to post about it (in each and every one of these threads)".

    it's a Circle Jerk.

I feel the OP is being judged too harshly here. Companies with bad business practices should be called out for. If they're not, they will do whatever pleases them, whenever, usually at the cost of people. Naming and shaming by the public is a useful tactic to call them out and (possibly) prevent such behavior in the future.

I'm allergic to YouTube-drama because it's yet another form of 'influencers' trying to get attention (and therefore: money), but that doesn't mean there can't be valid reasons for the essence of the complaints. Having it summarized in a few sentences would have been better than posting 3 of such video's though. :)

In theory I support this but they (or subsidiaries) make waaaaaay too much shit I like. Or probably even need. They are a monumentally shitty company though, afsik.

Agreed, OP is right, companies deserve to get called out for shitty behavior regardless of who they are. Weird that this even needs to be said or defended. Lol.

Three Companies that are completely shit that have Decent product
Behringer.. I own an Xair 18 that's fantastic.. The App on iPad.. oh fuck, what a complete disaster, unprofessional and arrogant.
Avid. Yeah well, Protools. Anyone that's invested heavily on their products, especially protools. say no more
Headrush.. Fuck me... can anyone find them outside the US? I have a Dead Headrush board and FR 8' speaker that just stopped with an ok fuse (I rely on it for my Jazz gig) crickets....

I'll say this about ole Behringer, they really know how to piss off all the right people. The pearl clutching in general is really something to behold. I love the comments calling out the immense hypocrisy though and the lack of awareness therein.

I have a couple of rack units from the Behringer going back to when they first hit the market. One of the units had a noise problem so I took it back to my mates shop and he swapped for another new one which is perfect. In the beginning it was a bit hit and miss with Behringer quality control but luckily I am mates with three of the music instrument and hire places in my city and can swap gear and even get loaners if I need another non behringer unit repaired. Yes, there are some shortcomings with some Behringer gear but not enough to dismiss them. After all I have had problems with Yamaha and Roland gear in the past. It comes down to do you want price or prestige?

it has nothing to do with prestige at all. it's the quality of the parts they manufacture. If QC have inspectors checking every part, unit, etc. they are checking for conformity to the designed specs for that component. As long as every crackling pot they make are the same, they are not "defective". it's just that the part is junk. You can't blame Quality Control for a company that reverse engineers parts and then manufactures them as cheaply as possible.

Seeing a Roland or Yamaha device that is 30+ years old is not an uncommon thing. A well-used Behringer is lucky to make it past it's warranty period.

Yet those same parts end up in other manufacturers gear too, Cool Audio owned by Behringer do also supply other gear manufacturers too.

The truth is that people often won't use Behringer clones for 30 years. They will run to another device instead. Behringer is a child of our time (if not Behringer, then our oversaturated music equipment market will create one).
