Is there a difference between this and the much later r2r release? Aside from the 1gb of data difference...

Which did you download, the 300 meg one? You can use something like Daemon tools if it wants you to mount an iso. This is old pc stuff. The r2r release is much bigger, like 1 gb.


Notes from r2r release:

Before the big wave, Santa brought you some nice retro toys. Some are never
released before, some are fixed or optimized for latest Windows OS, some are
strongly protected.

Since you have much faster computer than 20 years ago, try running those
legacy under higher sampling rate (96kHz or above) and rediscover your hidden
gems (if plugin supports that rate), the difference is like night and day.

We tested our release under latest build of Windows 10 x64. Some legacy use
depricated function from old VSTSDK. If you can't get working correctly in
your hosts, try wrapper or bridge like PatchWork, MetaPlugin, jBridge etc.
MetaPlugin also have oversampling option to run those legacy in higher
sampling rate.

 

If have now the same problem on a new Windows 10 64 system.
After install it ask me always for original disc.
The strange thing: it worked on my older Windows 10 64 systems for many years without any problem.
I deinstalled and cleaned registry, cleaned Jbridge and so on. Re-installed: but always it asks for DVD.
Perhaps it has to do with newer Steinberg autorization tools installed on the newer PC-System, which recognize now the "old" Xphraze install and stop using it for "free"?
Is there a way to generate an ISO only for the install?

 

I’m really try I g to get it to work in my Mac, running 10.4.11 it installs, but hangs on the dat file.
So close, yet so far away.ugh!

 

SOLVED: in my case the first start of the installed Xphraze plugin demands the mounted ISO of the install data.
So I looked through the different Xphraze installers, which were avaible and found one, were I only had to convert bin to iso.
And it works

I guess you have to google and look for a downloadble (old) Xphraze installer. Total size should be around 300-400MB; not more.
Then you get a installer bin (CD), which I converted to ISO and mounted it. You only have to do this once. Then Xphraze works as normal.
