serious question now that R2R has a license for it i fear my purchase might be stupid i already ordered an ilok usb just to use metatune what do you guys think is a crack for metatune around the corner or it is a safe purchase? im really worried a crack might come out the moment i buy it it happened to me with reason 12 and the feeling was horrible cant describe it with words would you guys wait or would you risk the money and buy it? i feel it sounds great and it's a great tool and i dont mind supporting companies in fact i like it but the fact it might get cracked soon plus the possibility of the ilok breaking puts me off badly what should i do?

 

I don't understand. It sounds like you're going to use it, so buy it. That's what folks are saying regarding warez.

 

I would not buy it, because I do not sing. But, I wouldn't buy it anyway. You seem to think if you buy it, and then another way to use it becomes available; it will no longer be worth your money. Or if everyone who didn't buy gets to use it, like everything else; it won't be worth your money. What other people do, or do not have; should not be a determining factor in a purchase decision. Is what it does to/for your tracks worth $200 to you, or is it not?

If R2R releases a crack, you can still just sell your legit license, if you don't "need" it anymore. So the "loss" of money isn't that big.

it's not the same thing metatune has -3ms retune speed and a vocal doubler it's the best tuning plugin avaliable

 

I do a lot of livestream so Waves Tune Real time is a must for me but If you're doing post production then retune speed and vocal doubler could easily be fixed in post using other plugins.

Metatune's - 3ms is not in realtime anyway, it would have to be -3ms on the plugin's buffer and not in realtime not like Waves Tune's 0.1ms which is in real time.

Besides if you're after that - 3ms than your probably going for that robo fx which could be achieved with other plugins.

iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 does more frequent AutoTune warble / wobble on "certain parts of vocal recordings" than Slate Digital MetaTune set to (negative -3ms speed mode)

I always had suspicions that Slate Digital MetaTune's (negative -3ms speed mode) was overrated, and it's not really negative -3ms speed AutoTune, it's just some lame glitchy effect that sounds nothing like the AutoTune effect.

I also figured how to replicate Slate Digital MetaTune's (negative -3ms speed mode) with the iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 VST, you basically just open up multiple instances of the iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 VST and set all of the multiple instances of the iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 VST to C Major.

Here's a comparison of all the main AutoTune VST's on the same vocal recording, the key & scale is set to C Major and the AutoTune speed is set to max on all of the AutoTune VST's.

This is a good example of iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 standing out from the crowd, because iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 does more frequent AutoTune warble / wobble and flutter effects on "certain parts of vocal recordings", but those same "certain parts of vocal recordings" sound more normal / straight-line on all of the other AutoTune VST's.

Listen to all of the below audio clips, and you will notice how iZotope T-Pain Effect v1.02 sounds totally different and it has more AutoTune warble / wobble.

if you're after the early 2000 robot effect, Izotope T-Pain effect will do just that.

For the most natural retuning plugin, RePitch has the edge in my opinion. Even I can sign with RePitch.

I'm not well versed in the '' modern robot urban pop effect'' but the trick seems to be in stacking multiple takes (synced with VocaLign) (I've recently read up to 9, 3L, 3C, 3R) and panning them and applying the correct amount of ''unnatural processing'' (it doesn't seem to be all the way up (super fast retuning) as our uninitiated ears suggest) .

 

or you just can take singing lesson and learn how to sing properly.
