Many of these types of plugins get windows releases but not mac. To sorta cover this thing, I would probably end up having to use 2 or more plugins. Maybe something like Melda MGranular or Fragments. Spacer. And then some looper. People like these kind of FX as guitar pedals?

 

Arturia Efx Fragments is probably the closest that I've found (in case you want to use it for the reverb/delay sounds that Microcosm can do). I think you need to install the whole Arturia FX bundle to get it tho. If you buy it legit you can ofc install only Fragments.

https://hvoyaaudio.itch.io/ribs is a free alternative, but it's more focused on the granular effect itself. It's perfect if you're only after the stuttering/clicking effect.

https://daniel-gergely.itch.io/emergence is also a nice free/pay-whatever-you-want. I haven't used it since it was first released a couple of years back tho.

Damn, I was just gonna buy Emergence (it's now $20.00 to purchase) but his payment transaction is low security and so opted out. I heard a song in my head and ẃanted to support the fellow. Instead I downloaded it from the other site.

 

Check out the various Audio Damage plugins, they have some that fulfill a similar role.

 

Guys, this is gear section, I suggest you compare with hardware.

Like others said, there are tons of granular plugins. Just the stuff for Reaktor or Bitwig's Grid alone would keep you busy for a long time. EDIT : I've just seen @AstralDis already posted a Reaktor version of the pedal so there you go lol.


Unfiltered Audio - SILO is excellent, pretty unique. Can't say how it compares to the pedal but definitely worth checking out.

Arturia - Fragments is another winner, but it has been mentioned already.
