Sonically the best VA synth out there, sound just amazing and is way more versatile as it appears at the first glance. If I hade to pick three synths it would be Diva, Phaseplant and a coin toss between Serum and Pigments.

Good user interface, good preset browser, decent emulation of vintage sounds (it is all about the per-voice differences in pitch and phase that makes a big difference). Decent FX. CPU usage is not bad (in great 'accuracy' mode) compared to other softsynths these days (and latest gen CPUs can handle many instances).

Not the most exciting or original sounding synth, but for vintage style subtractive sounds I prefer using it over the other more specific vintage emulations from the other lot (from Roland, Cherry Audio, Arturia, NI, Xils etc).

atleast it has CPU saving modes for sound design if your CPU cant handle it.

the JP8K osc is amazing. I need to get into using again.

Repro 1 and 5 are also great and overlooked synths from U-He.

Definitely the best VA vintage emulation IMO. Not only because it sounds great, but because it's not an emulation of just one synth. You can cover most Juno/Jupiter, Minimoog, MS-20 and SEM tones with it. Not every little feature and detail from these synths, but it covers the most important features about them (Juno/Jupiter supersaw osc, Moog ladder filter, Uhbie SEM filter etc). It's basically a Frankenstein's monster/bastard love-child between these famous vintage synths!

You can probably recreate most sounds from Diva with more advanced wavetable synths, but it always takes more time to dial in that vintage vibe in e.g Vital than it's worth. In Diva it comes effortlessly.

havent learned to use it properly. too bad its not standalone, i mean it cant be specially difficult to add that functionality can it?

there are so many time ive wanted to just start it and explore sounds only, a spontaneous thing, then i start my daw and do other things.

It's usually the first synth I reach for, there's a certain solidness to the sound that I can't explain. Maybe I'm referring to an analogue quality, not sure - old and bent ears as you can see.

Diva emulates (not 100% replicated) five types of synth. So having one Diva is like having 5 Arturias.
Amount of presets huge. And almost all of them sounds very nice.
With latest Plugmon skin it is prettiest VSTi for my eyes.

Sorry for mess above. Slow internet.

  13. How do I add presets like luftrum to it? Can I symlink from my external SSD.

  14. Is there like a huge factory library or something? I got only a few presets that I’m aware of

    I use Savihost for that.
It is even easier with VST3, because if you just associate VST3 with it, you can double click any vst3 ands it will open in stand-alone mode.
The VST2 variant is handy too, but you must copy to the same folder and then rename the Savihost.exe to Diva.exe (or whatever the VST name is).

I keep the VST2 version in a folder I named [ SaviHost ] so it's at the top of my plugin folders and handy to copy from there to create an EXE for whatever plugin.

Savihost gives keyboard along with a lot of other functions.

does it really make the gui totally different? then maybe it adds just confusion to me. if it actually makes it more intuitive or "better" somehow then maybe ill try it but if it changes the vst then i dont know. Looks great i must say.

    @DoubleTake
thanks for the detailed explanation! didnt know you could do that trick :)

Btw, i noticed UHe was going to update the skin to HD, (https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=598507&start=75) nothing more though it seems

I love it, little taxing on CPU, but it's worth it. Check out sound banks from Aiyn Zahev, Luftrum, The Unfinished, Swan Audio...
