Hi all,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding vocal sound effects like the female "Ahh" that is heard in this video exactly at the 2:00 minute mark?

In case the link doesn't work, the track is Pizzicato Five - Porno 3000 (Thievery Corporation Remix) @ 2:00 mins

Describing the sound's characteristics:

- it's a female voice
- very breathy
- similar to the sound we make after sipping a nice cold fizzy drink but a bit more sensual/lowkey erotic
- atonal (unlike e.g. a moan which clearly has a particular musical note)
- is fairly long for an "Ahh" (around 2 seconds)

So far I've come close with drink sound effects which include an "Ahh" at the end of the sample, but they're invariable too short and "staccato". I'm sure there are sound FX libraries that include this exact sound, finding which one is where I thought I'd try my luck on here. Thanks!

Just record yourself sigh. Highpass and compress. Drown it in shimmer reverb. Takes 2 minutes tops.

Thanks everyone for your replies, all the suggestions are righteous and worthy. I found the "Whispers" library by Wavesfactory to be absolutely spot on for what I need, especially since it let's you generate and envelope any length instead of having to stretch out a short sample. Big thank you @xorome ! I was able to get the job done with my clothes on and without wasting time sifting through porn. @Baxter tried your suggestion and indeed is a good alternative. Would have resorted to this had it not been for the kontakt lib. Cheers guys

 

it's hard to say that recording/making it yourself is not the best option in the long run. But someone may even want to ID the sample source, with no intention of ever using it. Especially if you have heard it before and can't remember; and even worse when it is some "nearly stolen" older track. Maybe some OCD...
