    Hello Guys,

both RE-201 emulations (from Arturia and Cherry Audio) are on Sale at Plugin Boutique.
Does anyone has tested both and can lead me into the right direction?
To be honest, I am not an Arturia fan, actually I dont like their emulations very much but I could be wrong with this delay.
The Cherry Audio is only €14,- and the Arturia about €50,- so i couldnt go wrong with the Cherry thing if it isnt that bad comparing to the real machine or the Arturia.
    Thank you in advance!

Arturia emulation is generally quite good. Performance is wildly inconsistent between synths & effects though. The file size of individual plugins are absolutely massive, probably bigger than any other company aside from maybe acustica (which i've never tried)
Cherry Audio always prefers to make interfaces "authentic" rather than actually improve on the original, & CPU usage is quite high for some plugins. I think it depends, just try before buying.

    Cherry Audio Stardust-201.

Also download & demo Rackmode from Cherry Audio or sister site. Included plug-ins:
    • Frequency Shifter
    • Graphic EQ
    • Parametric EQ
    • Phaser
    • Ring Modulator
    • String Filter
    • Vocoder
    • Vocoder FX
The EQs are very usable. Especially the graphic EQ.

    I like the Arturia's for 2 reasons.

    1. The reverb sounds better. CA's version is some spring reverb IR I don't like I guess.
    2. You can modulate only one side of delay rate which is useful to get that impression of the delays are moving around with the right offset setting. It's capable of getting that space echo sound that I know, others may look at it differently.

The preset available if anyone interested. It's cool af, no kidding! lol. Adjust the input so it doesn't hit the preamp too hard, 10-20% mix it will bloom nicely. I like it for plucky stuff.

Have a listen to IK Multimedia's T-Racks Space Delay too. For me it's the best sounding RE 201 emulation. And when IK has their annual sale (i.e. right now...) if you buy one of their plugins you can have various other of the same price for free (at the moment about 5 or 6 other plugins).
