I want to call this out as a Darwin award but I get the impression it was probably a manifestation of an eating disorder. Seems like I read she was previously treated for anorexia.

 

Opposite point of view: she just has transformed herself and left her body as she doesn't need it anymore.
Let us keep on eating and working for food!

 

The sad part is, her 'followers' (which describes the mindset exactly) believe it was from 'chemicals in the fruits', not the fact that she was an idiot and had no clue what she was really doing in her quest for 'IG hipster points'.

So many people are too ignorant of their roots and cultures that they have evolved from, some being from almost solely vegetarian cultures can do this and remain quite healthy, but most people are omnivores and need need both meat and vegetables to stay healthy, then there are those who are from a mostly meat eating cutures, who after a few days of insufficent meat intake start feeling very weak and have no energy. Your body dictates your needs and if you aren't in tune with it and don't comply you pay the price with your health.

 

Yall are buggin... it says "suspected starvation", but then claims the cause of death is still unknown; and further according the article states that it looks like she had an 'infection' (swollen lymph nodes, and her mothers observations).

So in short: a bullshit headline written for clicks. I'm not pro-vegan, quite the opposite (I love the taste of animals), but sensationalism is the plague, and this is how unjust biases and misinformation get spread. This article provides no information that concludes that 'veganism' or 'starvation' was related to her death.

hello incredible news, here I was wanting to follow that diet because of the cheapness of the fruit, but honestly I missed meat as a food, I think that I ate those fruits because of the budget I had, surely I couldn't cook and buy meat, I disguised my poverty with a fashion I didn't have money for lunch, so I bought fruit..

 

I find it interesting the correlation between pancreatic cancer and juicing. It would seem that fruit was meant to be eaten with the fiber component as that blast of sugar from a juice w/o fiber is too much strain on the pancreas. The same with alcohol. Case in point, Steve Jobs.

There's nothing wrong wtih fasting or eating a mostly vegetarian diet, but the virtue signaling rocket surgeon in the article is on another level of stupid, hence why I posted it.

And I'm speaking from experience, have fasted for 2 weeks and was Vegan for 2 years. It wasn't a religion for me, and now I eat meat.

I agree, to purport juicing as healthy is generally a misnomer. for instance many people would assume that Juicing better than just drinking, table sugar and water. But that's actually debatable depending on context. For heavy lifting or sprinting, the sugar water or straight dextrose is better. Either way fructose gets and broken down into the same thing. Once in the blood stream fructose is neutralized via insulin and transformed into glucose in the liver and the pancreas gets hit hard regardless. I also agree that fruit and veggies are meant to be consumed with the fibrous content. Not to say there anything wrong with a good smoothie every now and again, but I wouldn't recommend juicing as a "lifestyle" to anyone.

I also an advocate of fasting. Generally I fast several days a month and intermittent daily fasting in general, but on the hardcore tip, I've done 14 days water, and 8 days hard dry fasting.

I recommend keeping healthy fats and proteins in the diet and limiting sugar/carbs to a minimum. Veganism is cool if done right, but a lot of people don't understand the bio chemical systems of the human body, or how it work; and barely understand veganism. So they royally screw themselves trying to be a proponent for something they don't fully understand, or purely based on a emotionally charged philosophy that doesn't make sense.

 

In this video, the lady looks much better (much more natural) than in the one you posted....
