You already can do that my friend. Mine is exactly like that, but i forgot what i did to make it this way. i think is mouse modifiers

 

The only think i wish for reaper is a solid interface and fluid, with no lags, maybe like fl studio fluidness interface!
Or logic, would be perfect.
And inserts like ableton. with racks. and the perfect daw would be created!

 

- dB reduction meters on mixer
- send/return meters on mixer (and for reainsert)
- automatic delay compensation for analog summer (like reainsert)
- midi send for transport action (play, stop, pause, ff, rew, rec)

A GUI based way of creating reaticulate banks as I find creating new ones, and the consequent debugging, hard work.

 

1- Post fader fx slot
2- Pre-fader volume knob on top of the tracks in mixer view (Cubase style)
3- Able to set default track height in mixer control panel
4- Extended mouse modifiers (for ex: track buttons, etc)
5- Dark mode for Windows
6- Getting rid of the ugly fx window

In the midi editor you can right-click, go to options and select "Drawing or selecting a note length sets new note length"

That would spoil the whole 'no special slots' philosophy completely. You can choose for every inserted plugin if it's post or pre.

 

1. Configurable arpeggiator - input chord: output a melody or arpeggio based on the input; this output could be further configured with random midi parameters (ex. velocity) or predetermined fixed parameters (like notes within a scale, etc.)

2. Fx layer (i.e. a kind of item that would contain fx that would apply to the tracks underneath, for the duration of the item only): similar to adjustment layers in Premiere or AfterFx.

Yes. In my suggestion the fx would apply to all items underneath (or within, if it worked like a folder), but just for the duration of this "layer". F.eks. a layer of fx for the chorus only, etc.

OK, here's my wishlist, unless a feature is already implemented.
1. Please, give us some actual instruments to start with! For example some pianos, drums, guitars, strings, etc etc. I know, there's a load of free plugins out there, but every daw has at least a great variety of bundled instruments, so why can't reaper have that as well? I'm tired of reaper having just a very meh sounding synth and a 80's style sampler
2. Being able to type tempo ranges to synk audio files to project instead of one number. For example, let's say you're importing a song for a dj set or something. But the tempo isn't in the filename or tags. In fl for example you can click fit to bpm, type a tempo range and fl would stretch the file to the project tempo. zi want a similar option in reaper, it would make my life wayyyy easier.
3. And speaking of samplomatic, please make a more advanced version with more features. For exmple you can't spread multimple samples across the keyboard without using various instances which can overload your cpu. Modern samplers can do this in one instance. Why can't samplomatic do this already?
Aaaaand that's it. Sorry if I sound like a rant guy, I ove reaper a lot, these are some personal suggestions only, to each their own!
