Hades would be right up your alley, it's a forever game like Dead Cells- that is itll always be fun to pick up and do some runs. great story, great art, it lives up to it's hype and then some. I'm sure you've heard it's great, it is- sometimes those recommendations put you off a game... but next time you see it on sale or want something new just tell your ego to shut up and check it out, you'll love it.

When I still had the time, I was very much into RPGs and strategy games. Recommendations:

    - Heroes of Might and Magic 3,4 and 5
    - Eador (there is a free mod of the first game, which includes the base game)
    - The "Expeditions" games
    - Divinity: Original Sin
    - Disciples 2 (the gameplay is a bit simplistic, though challenging, yet nothing beats the gothic melancholy atmosphere of this one)
    - King of Dragon Pass
    - Blackguards 1
    - King's Bounty: The Legend
    - For RTS games, the classics Starcraft and Age of Empires 2

I'm playing SATISFACTORY a lot with my 8 year old son. We plan factorys over the breakfast and discuss the best way to maximize their production over dinner.

I had trouble getting into the legend when I tried it but armored princess is one of my favorite games, should I give it another chance?

Well, I guess it depends a bit on personal taste, but I found the atmosphere and story of "The Legend" a lot more captivating. If you enjoyed "Armored Princess", you should definitely give TL another chance.

I have always been mostly into shooter games, especially open-world types.
    But in recent times....
Just finished Half-Life and playing Half Life 2. (BTW did you hear about this group call Ace of Base?)

Anyway, I still play on occasion Battlefield 1 & Rocket League.
I never had the patience for RPGs .. to learn all the spells and such.

I am going through my catalog of games to see if there are any I want to play (or play again).
Far Cry 2 multiplayer Capture the Diamond was my favorite game of all, i think, due to the slow movement and importance of teamplay in getting a diamond back to base.

I own the rest of Supergiant's games on GOG—Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre—but Hades hasn't arrived there yet—like audio, I'm not trying to fuck with any DRM unless absolutely necessary. It's fine though; I play games on the regular, but I'm not a gamer; music and production take precedence, and most of my time, so the ammunition dump of games I have stockpiled in my library will *easily last me until Hades arrives. Plus, I just started a new XCOM2 campaign with the "A Better Advent" mod which should eliminate any chance I have of winning, so I'm set up.(Incidentally, I've heard that Epic Games has a DRM-free copy of Hades, but it seems slightly dumb to start an account with them just for one game... and my OCD is a factor too.)
I appreciate the recommendation though.

What video game are you currently playing?

    Answer :

I played The Witcher 3 since 2015. But only the beginning of chapter in the game, after that I don't seem to have time to continue until this moment.

I haven't had much free time since I was 30 years old long time ago. :hahaha:

Yes, Far Cry 2. It's not perfect. The story, for example, is total garbage. And there are some pacing issues. But honestly? Show me a modern open world game with such intelligent enemies, with so many physics gimmicks in the environment, physics projectile ballistics and such interesting gameplay mechanics as blocking firearms, shooting injured allies when you run out of healing items to help them or removing projectiles, treating broken bones and stopping bleeding when health is low. Pretty cool stuff IMO.

I actually just went back and tried to play FC2 again this year, since it's in my library (I got it free when I grabbed the first Far Cry, which I still enjoy.) I'm not going to argue what you think its strong points are—I agree with you on about half of them—but just point out the main things (though definitely not everything,) that made it a big ol' pile of un-fun-ness for me ~ Enemies/Outposts Respawn: I'm usually cool with this, in context, but it was Contra-level ridiculous, as sometimes they reappeared before you've even gone ten feet down the road; I exaggerate slightly, but the point is, it steals that feeling of accomplishment ~ Balancing: Countering the respawn madness, there's ridiculously easy tasks/missions, e,g, sneak-around>find-guy>one-shot-kill, which is hardly fun. ~ No Fast Travel: Just that, you shouldn't have to retread the same turf, not constantly, not unless it's actually part of the story. ~ Tactics: I have a buddy who believes this game has strategies and tactics that improve your odds; as a huge fan of XCOM2, I think that FC2's AI is way too bust to incorporate any real tactics, least not ones that make a calculable difference. I have no proof of this, but it's my belief. ~ Weapon Upkeep: You can pretend that it's realistic to have to "fix" guns, but I've owned quite a few guns over the years, and none of them, standard rifle, pistol, or otherwise, no matter how much they're shot, no matter what caliber/grain-load, need upkeep after every outing, let alone become useless hunks of metal, good only for bludgeoning. Every video game doesn't have to be uber-realistic, it just feels like a forced weighting to the game and comes off as savagely illogical. Anyway, I could continue, but that's what I remember from my playing it again earlier this year. Of the first three Far Cry games, I thought the first was the best, since I didn't find the third to be that challenging.

Squad is really the only game that managed to get me back into gaming.
Voice interactions and teamwork elements make this game playworthy and it can feel quite cinematic.
Basically a milsim Battlefield with less shitty arcade mechanics and a nice playerbase.
