Hi there , i could use some advice on Kontakt 5.3 , i`m trying to add some older libraries namely MORPHOLOGY and OUTER LIMITS , both will appear in the library field down the left of the screen and they will both allow me to play instruments from them , all is fine ... until i restart kontakt ... then they seem to disappear and i have to re-add them , i have installed many other "newer" libraries and there is no problem , it seems to be specific to old zero g libraries , i have tried the regedit deletion of library name keys etc without success ..

please help as i`m ready to jump off something big ;-)

This is the case with older libraries that are in the .nks format. I dont think anyone has found a way around it.

 

I had the same problem once and don't remember if I had resolved it or not; you could try adding the library manually if you knew how, by adding info to registry... Find tutorials on this here or google it.

 

I think using KLM v3 the problem can be solved.

There's also a nice utility that generate .nicnt files, this also works I think and can be done on Mac.

 

KLM worked for me with those libs.

Tip:
All you need to do is add a .nicnt to to both library folders and it will stay still, there's also other method but we will get to that later if needed

 

With Kontakt 5.3 I started to have more and more encrypted libraries for some reason. These two libraries went encrypted. First library Heavyocity Aeon Melodic and SAM Orchestral Essentials. I tried many things. Changed the nicnt, changed the .plist etc. Nothing seem to work still.

If anyone solved this please help.
