You'll need an account over there and log in. Then you can see a Report button for every post.

  4. Think I have sorted it, it was something that happened between me and another user on PM, trying to help and his attitude was ridiculous

Best way to report this is to send me a PM.
But we usually do not take action on private communications between members.
    Because... It's private.

Unless it's spam or someone trying to make business etc...

One must learn to manage themselves and coexist. At the beginning, when I joined here, I felt attacked, and I remember calling Oly to come to my aid. Later on, I came back and there were a couple of people saying things that didn't make sense to me, so I started taking things based on who they came from. I mean, if something bothered me, I let it pass, and now I do that automatically, and I don't even get bothered anymore. If someone says something about me just to attack, I ignore it, and that's it. 90% of the people here and on the sister site are wonderful, and then there are a few with strong personalities, you know, I guess we're all complicated and have our bad days. So, the best thing for me, and what I recommend to you, is to ignore someone if you have a problem with them. Sometimes it's just a matter of time, we don't always have good days.Regards

Was he too brash? Did he use bad words? Did he make you feel uncomfortable? You either gotta match their energy or be completely opposite. Just reporting them is the lazy way, and not as fun.

Aside from the odd person that wades in here swinging "pro tools has better audio quality than your DAW" dick around, most people on this forum and the sister site are pretty good. There's an ignore button you can use on individual users, I'd suggest just doing that, and having a thicker skin. The internet is full of dumb people that you won't get along with, and I find just avoiding people like that is the best way to go about it... and good for your own mental health. You can go toe-to-toe with them too, but that's just validating them and giving them what they want. Seek out the better posters and spend your time interacting with them (unless you're one of the dumb people, then get lost.. haha).

Also, I can say that my approach to this stuff has really changed over the years. I'd say our own personal attitudes (read: abrasiveness) can have an affect on how people interact with you. On many other forums (or sites where commenting is allowed), people take advantage of anonymity. Talk to people like you would if you had your name/face attached to each post, and you'll get a lot of respect from MOST people.... unless you are a dick in the "real world", then it's probably time for some soul searching.

And well, if being your best self still gets assholes in your mail box, there's still the ignore button..
