if you are out of solution then try upgrading from artist version to pro version that might solve your issue man
but first you need to back up your projects and move them out of artist version folder
then do clean un-install and re-install see if that fix the issue

..(but if that didnt fix the issue then the final solution is to upgrade the artist version to pro version
( i would use the latest r2r version that posted few days ago if i were you)

    good luck man

Did you already try changing core usage from automatic to 2? You can adjust that # more if you see this making any difference.

Does your problem project have any audio tracks with waveform data in them? If not, stick one in there with an audio file in it, and mute it or turn the channel volume to 0. Check export again.

Do you have any instances of Slate Metatune in the project? If so, disable only them. Try exporting to see any changes.

Do you have any of your channels in any Groups/subgroups? You can change that easily and without much work. But it would help you move multiple channels around more easily.

When you noticed whatever lead you to the work around you found with left side channels disabled... After you noticed this, did you try and actually move channels one-by-one to the "other side"?

With your workaround, you had this narrowed down to only half the tracks. I would go as far as creating a duplicate copy of your entire project and storing it in another location from the real one. Desktop is a good place. You could simply delete tracks one by one until you no longer see the problem exporting. Then just delete the duplicate copy when you are done testing.

You can rename your plugin folders from VST and VST3, to something like VSTBAK VST3BAK. Create new folders named VST and VST3 in their place, folder: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins . Close and Open your duplicate project. Your plugin folders the system "sees" will be completely empty. Check the export. If the time to export is back to normal speed, the problem is some plugin. If not, you can delete the VST and VST3 folders, and then rename the BAK folders to VST and VST3 so it returns the machine to the state it was in before this testing.

There are quite a few users complaining about Studio One issue on their forums. But this isn't the only program like Davinci Resolve, Final Cut, Cubase, etc that you can find similar posts from users with same problems. Some claim the M1/M2 is not capable of hyper-threading. idk.

read the "irony" definition somewhere. You obviously dont know the mac trolls from 20 years ago ;)
    anyway...

someone got it  ...... such latency isnt normal on a daw in 2023. Almost sure thats related to the export problem in some way.

Did you get any pop up ads like: "If you purchase the pro version, you'll be able to export in 2 minutes" ?

    @VisionSierra

have you tried cleaning the registry before installing ?

have you tried exporting as other formats ?

have you tried exporting as stems only ?

have you tried exporting 30s second up to 2 min test on marked loops as fellow members and i suggested ?

have you tried exporting it to
    local drive ? /
    external drive ?
    to flash memory ?
    USB ?

in that way you should eliminate any doubts if the problem is from daw or drives
and you should see if it all exporting latency differ
(in that way we should know if the problem is hard drive and not the daw )

have you tried installing on external drive with clean install /clean registery then clean install artist version ?
    (not local drive )

the problem could be either daw /or the drive you are exporting to

do you have old drives like older than 6 to 8 years and never scan them for errors ?
you should scan the disk(s) for errors ,

answering these questions hopefully will give you better look on why exporting takes so long
whether its daw issue / drive errors /settings / ,you must find out ..and dont give up until you figure where is the problem
