I'm not surprised to be honest, like I said I managed to create the same thing using nothing but utilities in Bitwig, it only took me an entire evening and I didn't save it as a preset lol

I've also created a bunch of stereo enhancement / M/S patches for Pro-Q over the years, though mainly for individual channels and sub-groups. Tend to steer clear of EQ based width treatments on the main busses and master as I've usually taken care of such things earlier in the proceedings.

This is a very interesting subject and I'd like to see it discussed in depth. There's really no need for over-sensitivity and defensive, aggressive overtones. It won't bring anything useful to the discussion.

I've downloaded the patches and will take a look at them myself. Maybe I'll comment, if things have calmed down..

Does it do what you wanted or what you achieved with Pro-Q?

 

tried it on atleast 5 tracks and compared it with the Pro-Q3 presets, sadly it didn't give what I expected nor I hear any improvement. This is not entire what I'd hope for as the dynamic in my Pro-Q3 was there for balance as the auto-gain doesn't seem to give right result for certain track. The whole idea is make the front to back (depth doesn't seem to be the right word) image more present and I couldn't achieve it with the Pro-MB preset. Thanks for making it anyway.

I posted this topic on other forum as well, and someone suggested UVI Shade for its modulation to create the "Automated EQ" idea and I found it way more practical to what I have always imagined. Especially the envelope. Will get back if I get proper result or found something worth sharing. Still curious about the Automated EQ method brainworx used for the stereo enhancement section in Masterdesk Pro. If someone could ever do some x-ray of it.
