Please tell us what you want in a hardware synth. Each has its own character, usability, features, design, size etc so it's impossible to give a recommendation without knowing what you're gonna do with it.
And are you going to create your own sounds? Or use presets mainly? What style?
Does it have to be new, or can it be second hand?

If money was no object I would get a Moog Voyager, Prophet 12, a used Juno 106 and a Virus TI, and also a DSI Tempest.

(I already own an Alpha Juno and an original MS-20)

You really can't go wrong with a Juno-106! I grew up using two different ones; it was my first synth-programming experience. That one could do anything! It was like a more-sophisticated Xpander.

I have a friend with the Nord and he loves it. I haven't had much experience with it personally, but from what I have used I really like it. Good sounds. His was the keyed model. Personally, I want a Virus TI (just like everyone else ha).
