The sister site is handing out a HQPlayer 5 Desktop v5.0.2.

I stumbled on this and then questions appeared:

Do we need it and others like it for the music production?
Do we need a special gear for it, for example, I have a home cinema and use it as reference system checkihg out my tracks (besides monitors and ear phones)... I thought it's enough, do I need more gear?

PS. the things over HI RES reminded me HI End hype decades before

High Res audio just means more than 16bit and more than 44.1kHz SR, most often this is 24/96. Any halfway modern audio interface aswell as players should be capable of it.

Well, I see nobody follows the issue I posted.
    Once more in details:
we export multitrack to WAV once a project finished, then send it wherever we want.
People don't play our file on DAW, they use Windows Media, Winamp, Aimp, MPCHC, foobar, A-player...
but some use Jriver player ($70 - 90) or even Roon player ($15 a month or $830 for lifetime)

So, do we need to check out how our file sounds at least on listed above to know that it sounds good on any player?
People get a decision to accept/not to accept (labels), to buy/not to buy (final customers) according to what they hear on their PLAYERS!
Next, maybe the market follows (at least partly) a new trend: HI RES?

No, you do not need to do this.

    I assume these
