Are there any good pattern/MIDI generators out there? (Especially for techno)

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any pattern or MIDI generators out there at all? I know there's things like Scaler, but that seems to be more aimed at your traditional song structure based of music which chords changes, verses, choruses, and so on, and it doesn't feel as adaptable for genres like techno.

what kind of techno are you doing that you need help with scales? for rhythms:
    - some of the Notes FX in bitwig are very cool (Note Repeat); same with Ableton's extra devices
    - check HY-PRE2

It the kind of driving, peak time sort of techno, so ways to generate those types of rolling 16th note bass lines and such that I can then edit further as needed is what I'm ideally trying to hunt for.

I will look at PRE2, cheers!

ML-185 Stage Controlled Sequencer(m4l)Rozzer Step Sequencer (m4l),MOD Snake (m4l),Euclidean sequencer Pro(m4l). Its the best if you work in Ableton for techno

ezKeys 2. you can grab and drag midi data from it onto another midi channel, which then triggers some other VSTi synth plugin.

That way you can ignore what is inside the plugin's sequencer which has some arrangement aspects to it. It is just as nice as scaler, but on a loop level when used that way. Scaler is so far beyond what you need for dance music. If you want percussive/rhythmic patterns generated rather than chords and notes, UVI Falcon Drum Designer has the same feature. If it's a plugin where you can drag midi out of it's internal sequencer; it is also an ad-hoc Midi generator.

if it is your starting chord progression or you are ok with some randomness; that thing is great. It would be nice if it was just a MFX rather than needing a software instrument track to load it onto. It would improve the "workflow" a little by letting you hear changes you make with the instrument you are going to use playing them.

Chordjam, ChordPotion, Sugarbytes Thesys, Venomode Phrasebox, and Riffer are all pretty good for this kind of thing too. But EzKeys2 is shockingly good now. :)
