So I just got a used one for $150, which hopefully is a good deal. Everything seems to be working fine, except whenever I play a key on the keyboard, I don't see any information on the display about it. But the note on and off and velocity signals are being sent out to my DAW. Also it doesn't seem like any channel aftertouch information is being sent. I have gone over the manual pretty thoroughly and checked online for some answer but not getting much. Anyone who uses one of these have any input on this issue?

  4. The Axiom, Axiom (2nd gen), and Axiom Pro keyboards are setup to send aftertouch (channel pressure) by default, without any additional configuration. When the keys are pressed hard enough, the aftertouch strip is triggered and aftertouch is sent in the form of MIDI Channel Pressure messages (CC 131). While these messages are often routed to control parameters such as vibrato, not all hardware and software respond to aftertouch; please refer to the user guide of the hardware/software you are controlling to find out if it supports aftertouch.

The aftertouch strip can be reprogrammed to send different MIDI messages such as modulation or volume. Pleaes refer to your keyboard's user guide for more information.

Since it is by default sending aftertouch, perhaps either the instrument you are using does not use or is not set up to do react to it. That or the previous owner disabled it for some reason.

I have an axiom 49 MK2 and it sends aftertouch by default so you will need to restore that setting. The boards can be confusing because there is no software editor, but once you get used to the programming interface it is not too bad. Hope this helps.
