I have a Problem.
My PC stutters when i use cubase 12 Pro (overload Cpu)
with 4 fx plugins he s going crazy
any advice of you guyz?

Does the program spike in a random manor or is it full tilt boogie in the red all the time?

 

It is likely you will need to share more information, because this can be caused by a number of different issues. This is an example support thread with C12 users reporting some of the possible causes: https://forums.steinberg.net/t/cubase-12-random-cpu-spikes-peaks-interrupted-audio/771312

All the usual troubleshooting, trials and errors. One person's successful solution to their problem was to test using Nuendo, instead of C12. I like this idea, if the problem is caused by your specific Cubase version/build; you will have more things to test out to find it. And if price is not an issue, many people would use Nuendo anyway if it was an option.

 

What audio interface? What buffer size?

Edit: have you run a diagnostics with LatencyMon (if you are on WinPC)? LatencyMon is freeware.

Have you tried a(ny) different DAW? For instance Reaper Portable (it's an option while installing the normal version), which you could remove afterwards easily.

 

was having CPU spikes too, I turned off asio guard and it solved my problem. but also increase ur audio buffer size as well

 

Yeah, troubleshooting the cause behind this issue depends greatly on what plugins you're using, what your latency is set to, sample rate, bit depth, processing depth, whether you are using ASIOGuard is helpful to know, but it not THE solution to ANY processing issue. That Haswell chip can only do so much when it comes to compute intensive workloads, like granular synthesis and high resolution modeled algo reverbs.

 

Please Name the Fx and your Audio Interface and Buffer Size. Otherwise we need witches ;) to know more and answer.
