    Yep. This is the client side fix. Most good torrent clients have this tweak but not all other downloader's. Also one should not have to depend on this as their only salvation, especially if you already have a VPN. The VPN kill-switch should be sufficient in such cases and if it isn't then it's time to employ a VPN service that actually works correctly.
