Hi guys I just have a curiosity. I have been watching video tutorials of EDM, and I can tell, it is quite weird to see a video tutorial of EDM in Cubase. Always is Logic Or Ableton. What do you think about that. :(

well, watch tut for ableton or logic and do the seen stuff in cubase
most daws can do same, only the way how to get it is different
if you need a tut to learn making music AND to learn how to use your daw, you are lost. but you can read the manual for cubase :)

Learning how to construct a song is probably more important than what daw you are using. Your daw is your toolbox to hang your painting on the wall.

It's either a Mac v PC issue, a price issue or a software protection issue, but Cubase is falling out of people's consciousness.

Have cubase 5 on disk, tried it a few times, but can't really get into it, currently using S1 a lot, but also an FL Studio user for many years and Ableton Live is still loaded, but not playing with it as much. And have Reaper set up on the lappy :mates:

    Cubase 7.5 :

i use cubase since 2 years now i make EDM /Modern Pop / Trap song so cubase it's a very good daw and you have a lot of option on it more than logic pro and live .... and some time this is the problem & frustration (no limitation = lot of information) so you have be organaise if you want work quick like (Save templet / track presets / instrument presets ) , the quality of the audio engin are very good you can work on 32 bits and the stability of the system are fine and better from day to day .

    Logic Pro X :

Logic Pro X are good and more stable than logic pro 9 (This is way i go on cubase) i use logic pro 5 years so yes it great for edm and simple to use you have good plug's on it like space designer reverb/ES2 but they are some issu with the pitch shifting & time stretching .

    Fl Studio :

the magic daw i think they are any program can be more quick than fl you can create you music very quick with good quality of sounds you don't need a lot of plug's cause they are a good one on it like : SliceX/Harmor/VocodeX and for the loops you have just to drag and drop on sample and with 3 clicks you have it in tempo with different option for pitch shift ,,,,,but for the mix it's another history cause i hade the mixer interface and routing to .

So finally you have to choose betwin :

    Stability program

    Quality audio engine

More easy & Quick and let you be creative
