Any ideas/leads to make the situation better? Seriously, these are by far the most annoying VSTs I've used in that regard. If I have a project with 5+ of them inside, it will take me 10+ minutes to open that project. It's just a vibe killer.

I'm using the legit stuff, I've tried putting some of them on my SSD, it barely changes anything. I don't know what to do.

It's clearly part of the experience. It's a feature not a flaw. It gives you time to think about being creative.

This must be due to gigabytes of lossless images they use for interface. If that happens to you, and your system partition is on a SSD (since they only install on a system partition unless you mess with symlinks and such), there's nothing that could be done. If your system partition is on a HDD, check that HDD. Check its health, just in case, defragment if needed. If HDD is fine, clean reinstall of Windows might help (if the problem is in registry), as long as you keep all your audio soft installed on system partition. Otherwise it will have to jump between partitions to load everything, which will prolong the loading time.
Honestly tho Arturia are such a hassle, and don't sound any good. Not worth it IMO. Render your work projects to audio and get rid of the VSTs, that's the best advice I can give.

Which DAW - which operating system do you use?

As a solution they suggested this procedure:

"Delete a specific temp file called "db.db3".

    MAC: /Library/Arturia/Presets
    WIN: C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets

If you have not enabled the display of hidden folders please go to your file explorer -> display -> check "show hidden folders"

Alternatively, you should be also able to directly copy/paste the path indicated above in your Windows File browser address bar.

Once this file is deleted, the preset list will be updated on software opening."

    My comments:
Indeed the loading time of both standalone and plug-in dramatically changed to very fast.
Please update to latest version and use vst3 if you can.
    I think that's a solution !!!

They also load very slowly for me the first time I add one to a project, but pretty quickly after that.

Make sure your C:\ProgramData\Arturia is on the fastest drive you have - make a junction/link if necessary.

Yes, that's what I've been doing lately, just render everything, and save the ableton project I'm working on on my SSD. It's a big change in my workflow, but I think I'm getting something out of it (besides faster loadings).
Regarding Arturia, I disagree, I find them great (especially the recent upgrade of the ancient stuff), but it has some serious downsides. I also noticed the GB of bloat UI image when I moved it to my SSD (using robocopy, if someone is interested).
I'll do a disk chck like you suggested, it's been a long time I didn't do it.

Using and loading has always been ok. It's the freakin install I hate. Hundreds of thousands of little .PNG files. Why in god's name are they still doing that?

Check S.M.A.R.T. too and see if there are any hardware issues.
    Because interface sells.

Interface totally sells, I love a pretty one myself but every other company has figured out streamlined ways of pulling it off....
Grrrrrr, whatever. Arturia started out in a league of their own but there's a better alternative for 85% of their stuff now.

Do what @BEAT16 said - It is ridiculously faster. Delete or perhaps better still if in doubt, rename db.db3 in the presets folder.
Next to Kontakt with terabytes of libraries, even without doing the above it is faster to load than Kontakt.

In Ableton I create 'Folders' for all of my sounds, Bass, Drums, Leads etc inside a dedicated Folder for each 'Song'. I have a link to the main Folder with all the songs inside and Ableton lets you tree through to Songs > Bass > 'Saved Synth'

Then I create an ALS for each sound by dropping it in the relevant folder and print it to audio (Freeze/Flatten)...

Then when I want to change a synth it drags back into the project exactly how I saved it, minus routings

I stopped using Arturia because of the headaches you've having but I was considering giving them another go since I started filing this way

As a bonus its good to recall sounds from previous tracks, complete with any FX... Something that I don't think other DAWs are capable of doing this easily

I've seen this solution before, but I don't think it works, it just deletes the preset database and rebuild it (for me, it was faster at the first launch, but then it's back to normal).

Thousands of presets and support files are going to slow it down.
