...it seems that I just flushed €65,- down the toilet for the Minimoog I bought. Obviously my maschine need to be online to run this plugin if it isnt stored on an external ilok stick. Correct me if I am wrong. I am very upset right now. There was no hint on the UAD site that these native plugins need an online support to run in my DAW. :-(

 

Sounds like you read but interpret what you want. UA does indeed suck. Their corporate ways are akin to many these days which is why we have what we have to get around a lot of it. YOU assume what you want because it agrees with your outlook on whatever it is. Just leave me out of your dreamworld and let it go...

You're a funny one. I guess that cinches it. I must hate UA plugins because YOU say so... I guess the fact that I ran the legacy stuff with the UAD1 for years and still look forward to the scene releases of the natives (when they arrive) still makes me a UA plugin hater?? (all the plugin non-hater sentiments ARE captured in the verbiage of my original post). Next time maybe try actually reading and UNDERSTANDING the original post before spewing dribble everywhere would be a good idea. Native (UADx) requirements - are actually clearly stated on UA website.

 

It is for EXACTLY those underlined conditions (among others) that UA corporation bites it. They make decent plugins but the bad corporate behavior outweighs all the good of the plugins. IMO.

this kind of discounts are usually seen on UAD plugins, thats nothing new

the best prices arrive usually at alf july, even a bit less than what I actually see

if you are smart with coupons and thanks codes you can grab stuff at very good prices. For example, I grabbed Ravel piano for 30 dollars a month ago (I had the chance to buy any of their VSTi, just wanted Ravel)

its unbelivable that everything from UAD create these myths and hypes lol
these campaigns are pretty common during the year (best on summer)

 

If you consider UAD stuff (interfaces as well as plugs) mid-range, then I would like pay you to help me build "my next studio" (seriously you know best here). And no, please no avid solution (already got accel system.... no new Avid crap here in the future!).

Truth is that UAD are overpriced deluxe! But the quality is darn great!... Yet many plugs in todays market are too expensive.
