I "obtained" lil snitch years ago. It FINALLY went to demo.

At first I was afraid to go on the internet... but I found I could, though it is cumbersome.

I am not anywhere near the level of tech savvy as yall. I can "get by."

I took a hiatus for the past few years and was surprised I seemed to be able to use Batchmod on autopilot.

I can't remember what the "deal" all was in Little SNitch.

One option is obtaining it... what if I did not?

Right now, the moment I turn on wi-fi, I get these pop-ups asking me if I want to either Deny or Allow some kind of communication from the net. The first time I turn on wifi when I turn my mbp on, I get a bunch of apple related sites that require denial or allowance.

I think I will try and get another little snitch.... BUT, will Little Snitch just work as it did if I acquire it?

If I do not, what are my options?.. how do I handle this internet traffic that keeps asking for permission?.. is Little Snitch initiating that?.. and removing the software would revert it back to the std. mac sh1t?

I would go with Radio Silence - I replaced LS with this as it's a much smaller footprint and worked well on M1 (though works on Intel) and easier to use ... plus it's only $9 bucks for life .

LuLu is free, and also works on both Apple Silicon and Intel machines. It is light, easy to use, and requires very little user interaction with it. Add a rule and it's done.

Yes, but also with no rules setup. it wouldn't alert/prompt user for common sites, like Apple's; stuff that a user will normally block on the first use after install.

I run ableton and Native instruments stuff.

Which stuff is calling home these days? Most of the time in Mac, doesn't everything already run without playing with internet rules?

I seem to remember PC requiring ALOT of time in Comodo. :D
