@ Catalyst seriously it may be time to think about bringing in a few more mods for both sites. The sites are growing, and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people able to take on the role, maybe on a temporary fixed rolling basis (2 / 4 / 6 months etc) or members taking turns. This would surely give you more time for the behind the scene stuff.

(To the Drawings: don't wanna be a posing with talent, but what you see there is at least really the baddest form of my drawing, because of sketching just VERY fast -> but this way makes the most fun! (compared to concentrate making a longer pencil art! So i made such sketches many times , eg. if i telephone , waiting on a burning DVD etc. since i was a child, it go's not away ;)

(btw. ... hope that some users be some more considerate to you in the future (depending on they should think about how important is something and not or if they maybe not able to find an answer to their questions alone before calling you (by search the site \ do something) - maybe they see the PM to you as easy and simple single PM without thinking that countless other users do the same... i agree what "SirSillySausage" quoted above this reply here... maybe a little helping hand for "unique\special" requests -you made a fantastic job , and this should don't gone to something like a unfunny work 4 you at some point )

 

Problem is that particularly with AudioZ it is a delicate matter. If you remember a couple of years ago there was no mod there at all and trust is of the utmost importance. I mean besides SAiNT a moderator has the highest rights of anyone and that is something that can't be so freely given. If it weren't for me SAiNT wouldn't have taken someone on at all, he basically told me that only I could do that job. Here we just recently added a moderator and I can't even begin to imagine how much work I would have without X. Really if more people got involved in the forums and fielded questions, tried to help people, made tutorials, brought back videos for the Academy, signed up to help out with projects, etc. then I could focus more on other matters. This has slowly been happening though because for example I have a team working on the Audiosexed album and if it weren't for them we might not have made it happen. Then vsan is helping with the design of a future project for an internet radio station. I actually made a post called the Forum Project List and SAiNT said that he will include it on our main menu so future members can get involved. I will slowly be adding projects there and people can sign up to help. It's really because I try to do it all that it's so tiring, I could easily just do the bare minimum but you know me. Even when replying to messages I always try to give people the attention they deserve rather than the usual response one would expect from staff on a forum, of course this takes a lot more time. Forums like ours deserve a truly committed staff. *yes*

If that's the baddest form of your art then you really have talent, that's really great. Yeah some people definitely PM me about things that are an unnecessary waste of time such as reup requests or posts that are taken down. Sometimes I get technical support questions too and I would prefer that people ask these questions in the forums where our many members can respond rather than sending it to my mailbox. You're right people never think that there are many of them and one of me, I try to respond but sometimes the mail is too much and it never stops. I spend hours a day responding to people and that's not even including Xsze or SAiNT. Each response is also personalized, I don't write generic messages like most staff on other forums...I try to give people personal attention because they are important to me but this takes a lot of time. Also upgrading the link containers on tens of thousands of posts is really killing me, so many links. I wish I could ask someone to help me with this but they would have to have high rights in the system to do this job so I end up doing it myself every day.

Catalyst About the offer made by SirSillySausage, may be there could be some, "sub-moderators" some guys you don't trust 100% but you could give less privilege, but still they could answer to many basic questions.

I like the rotatory idea too.

Besides, some of the guys, beginning with this status, may earn your confidence and become a true mod like you.

By the way Xsze really hit the nail on the head concerning working on AudioZ and I think you don't know what you're asking. He knows well because we talk a lot during the day and trust me he is right on the money. You guys know that whether you have a title or not you are all part of the team that keeps things running at the forums. At one time or another you've reported some important information, reupped some files, put forth an idea, helped a member, created a thread, worked on a project, donated a coupon and so much more. The beauty of it is that it has been on your terms. You don't want to find out how physically and emotionally draining it is to deal with things day in and day out. I am so exhausted I can barely type right now but I have much more to do today. Looks like tracer's mix is going to go for another spin.
