    The email service with domain included really depends on how much control they give you over the domain pointers and records. If you have no access and all it does is point to email server's MX records then it is counter productive.

    I think IONOS might be a good start and it will give you time to figure out if you are going to stick with it. If you want to keep your site and transfer your domain & assets plan on starting about 2 months before expiration as DNS propagation and your current host dragging their feet a little catches many first timers off-guard.

    The domain name, control of it and the pointers are the important part, you can take everything somewhere else in 10-11 months time and you'll have learned a thing or two by then.

    If you stick with a static site and relative internal links your assets will be server agnostic and migration will be a non-issue. I would stay away from CMS and database driven backends until you understand the security risk, management and the are comfortable with the added complexity for migration. That is an other reason I would advise that you own your own site generator application, many built-in site builders will hard link pages and call assets that are outside of your control/domain root which makes migration difficult as you would be sifting through source to find and replace assets that will break your site.

    Once again, it's free but not free. It doesn't hurt to start with something and if you are diligent learning in 10-11 months you can jump ship and find something that suits you best. If your site makes you money then you'll have the dosh to cover the costs for what you want, if you get tired of it and let go defunct no big loss.

    I really must stress the point to give yourself plenty of lead time on transfers, this is where things can go wrong, really wrong.

    Why does this site's name sounds like an e-girl tsundere yandere escort platform from the 2010's?

    I love it!:bleh::rofl:

    How did I miss this?! I now have it set up, and have my emails, and have full access to them all in Mailspring. Just need to get access to them on my phone now, and then I think I'm done as the site is already designed and online following an hour or two's work this afternoon figuring things out.

    Thanks all! :wink:
