entered the command line

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Valhalla*

it keeps returning either blank or if i go to the specific directory it says no such files found

 

PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS, IF YOU DON’T DO THAT VALHALLA PLUGINS WILL CRASH!

1. Install all the Valhalla plugin you need

2. Replace files every file from “ ‘K ” folder of every plugin you installed

3. Now you have to CODESIGN the plugins:
3.a Open the Terminal
3.b Run the following commands:

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Valhalla*
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Valhalla*
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Valhalla*

sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Valhalla*
sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Valhalla*
sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Valhalla*

( IF YOU GET THE ERROR : “the codesign_allocate helper tool cannot be found or used” YOU HAVE TO INSTALL THE COMMAND_LINE_TOOLS_FOR_XCODE :
“sudo xcode-select --install”

IF YOU STILL HAVE THE SAME ERROR YOU HAVE TO DUPLICATE THE PLUGINS IN THE VST/VST3/COMPONENT FOLDER, CODESIGN THE COPY AND REPLACE THE ORIGINAL)

3. Run keygen
4. Use the file generated to activate
5. ENJOY

Everything works for me up to step 4. I don't understand how to activate the generated files. I searched online and it mentioned that the plugin prompts a message for activation, I don't get that window also.

FIXED: Activation came up when running DAW in rosseta.

Hi, I'm very confused on the 'key activation" part. After I do all the steps then get to 3rd one, it says run keygen, but the only keygen i can open is the file and it doesn't do anything but show me the text the document has in it. It doesn't generate anything for me, and i cannot put the keygen file into my daw to activate it, Someone pleasee help I'm so confused and my sellers communication is not very good at all. I just want to use my Valhalla plugins, if anyone could help, I'd appreciate it alot!

 

You must run the keygen in crossover if your on Mac like me.

Mine didn't come in the form of an .exe file either it just opens up into the textedit app on mac, will that still work? everything else is the same and all the steps are the same. But what you're saying is use crossover or bootcamp to open the keygen? is there a website I can use to generate the key? Will it just automatically create it when I try to open it on windows(bootcamp)? I'm sorry for all the questions, usually I just have to download the file and it's installed on my DAW. Thanks for the help/info!

 

Please show what release this is. You do not need to use bootcamp to run a keygen, ever. It is most easily done in Crossover.

Are you trying to install a release from RET? I would suggest you actually use VR's ValhallaDSP bundle, 2023 12

You won't even need a keygen. That build release date is 6 months old, but they never change anything anyway. It will be easier for you.

 

Thank you... Soooo much, you were right and that link for the plugins worked with no keygen and I'm 99% sure it the same build as the one I was attempting to use with the keygen. Just downloaded it from there and it only took like 5 minutes with one of the first links. Thank you so much for the help, glad to have my plugins now.
