hope everyone is enjoying producing their own music, just as I enjoy making it.
First of all I want to thank the moderators and all the members of the community for reading me and dedicating a little or a lot of their attention to this post.

I've been using Reason for a little over three years to learn how to produce my tracks. I am lucky to have participated in rock bands since I was 13 years old and that has helped me a lot so that my musical ear was hardened, I could not say that I am a perfect pitch like some of my companions in battle on my way through the music but if I have to maintain that I can tell if something sounds well tuned or simply it is not. So let's say that my map or musical timeline (times and tonbalities) was made when this scope did not exist that we can now boast about on these dates (with the different daws, and the whole range of equipment and software specially designed for this).
Well then, having said this, I want to present my doubts and see what I am doing wrong and be able to solve what has been haunting me all this way and even though I am willing to find the solution, I have not been able to, here they will...

During my learning using Reason I always used the way to buy the subscription, now that I have realized that there is an alternative to avoid the monthly cost and the Internet connections, I was very interested in using reason r2r but like many of those who have posted about this, I find myself stuck in an alley that seems to have no way out since no matter how many attempts I give to do the correct steps, I simply have not been able to make the launch of r2r work on my pc (I mean exactly being able to open the different instruments that I get in the paid version and to be able to use the previous files in the r2r and vice versa.

Me gusta Bitwig, Meximelts de res, y los 80s. Yo también estaba en una banda cuando era adolescente. Peleábamos mucho y eventualmente la banda se separó.Eso fue cuando escuché por primera vez a Skinny Puppy y decidí que iba a hacer algo por mi cuenta, pero necesitaba ganar dinero para comprar todas esas máquinas, así que comencé a grabar artistas y bandas locales. También hice un montón de, bueno "ghostwriting" e hice dinero decente para pero mis máquinas. No terminé haciendo lo de Skinny Puppy, pero sí influyen en mi trabajo actual en un grupo anónimo del que formo parte hoy.

jajaja me quede buscando en mi mente a Meximelts como si fuera una banda y en google descubri que es un tipo intnento de taco o burrito de taco bell cierto?_ y en cuanto a Bitwig como te va con el, es de pago mensual? es facil de usar? has usado reason? cuentame por que no terminaste haciendo lo de skinny puppy ? era algo con ellos? o a que te referias? sigues tocando en un grupo anonimo vdd? por que decidieron el anonimato?

not trying to be mean luis but why dont you buy a reason 12 perpetual license you are missing out on many things like chord sequencer and bassline generator when using the r2r version of reason and its always better to own what you use if you are serious about your music,all the best

thanks for the tip, im already using it with a monthly license, and it does have the complete list of insytruments as far, but as i told you im very interested, but not use it already because is not working for me , as far as today im still doing my best to try and continue using it but with the license payment.

 

¡Hola Luis! En realidad en lo personal prefiero pagar la licencia permanente que pagar por una suscripción normal. El contenido extra usualmente lo consigues aquí excepto si acaso los instrumentos extra que traen. Y si te das cuenta lo que pagas mensualmente lo puedes ahorrar y comprar los instrumentos nuevos por separado a precio especial en el peor de los casos.

R2R saca buenos productos, pero a veces surgen problemas y a pesar de que la comunidad aquí usualmente es buena a la hora de ayudarte a buscar una solución a veces hay que esperar a que R2R saque una versión nueva que resuelva el problema y a veces ésto ocurre o no.

De cualquier manera, bienvenido al foro y éxito en tu gestión.

 

Saludos hermano. Yo también de México y usuario de Reason.
Tengo entendido que no se puede usar el contenido legítimo con el programa de R2R, creo que es por ahí. Yo también uso R2R y ya, y sí, me estoy perdiendo de algunas cosas muy buenas como el Chord Sequencer or el de las baterias, pero espero en un futuro poder adquirirlo.
Mientras tanto me quedo en Cubase, porque eso de que Reason no te acepte todos los mensajes MIDI del 0 a l 127 y de que no acepte las funciones de multitimbre con los VST's es algo que molesta mucho, entre otras cosas.
Solía tener un excelente flujo de trabajo con el ReWire entre Reason 5 y Cubase 5/6, pero ahora que quise actualizarme a los 64 bits y VST3 y que ya no hay soporte para ReWire pues ese flujo se perdió y ahora tengo que lidiar con muchas limitaciones que ni la versión de Reason Rack Plugin puede resolver, lo que me parece rídiculo, ¿cómo es posible que las nuevas versiones sean para empeorar en vez de mejorar? En fin

 

si es dificil poder seguir con expectativas de terceros para poder continuar uno sus proyectois, se me hace muy dependiente , en fin una pregfunta cuantyo gastas por esa licencia permanente?

worale se lee que eres un usuario experto o al menos yo que soy neofito en el mundo de la produccion no me se todos los usos de los mensajes midi y de las ondas multitimbres, habrá en la red algun ejemplo de esto ?
si muy mal que los nuevos productos sean en retroceso en vez de avance por decirlo de una manera, grtacias por leer y saludos

 

Pago a precio regular pero también ellos ofrecen descuentos a usuarios educativos. Si puedes aprovechar ese descuento, adelante.

 

Yeah, Taco Bell. It's a delicious but bad for you (like all their food) soft taco with questionable seasoned beef, pico de gallo, and three cheese blend. I ate it a long time ago, back when I didn't eat so healthy. I don't think they sell it anymore. Good memories lol.

I love Bitwig, it's the only DAW I use currently. I only pay for an "upgrade plan" every 2 years+ and or when I see an update I like or think is worth the money, then I get whatever else they've put out prior as well. Their licensing model is a bit different so I choose to "game the system". Basically you buy an "upgrade plan" and it last for 12 months. During the 12 months you get whatever they put out. Typically, but not always, that's 3 "point updates" and what some might call a "major update" a year, + sound packs or whatever. Bug fixes are free, for that version. You upgrade anytime you want or buy an upgrade, like on sale for example, and choose to use it whenever you want. Nothing happens if you don't update, it's not a actual subscription.

I've never used Reason.

The Puppy style music never came to full fruition because I got together with some friends and started the anonymous group a few years ago. It's just a different style of music, it's just the way it turned out. I initially got the anonymous idea from an artist called "Trevor Something", plus I was familiar with bands like GWAR, KISS, Slipknot, and others. Now Sleep Token is the anonymous band on the rise. That's a really good band imo. Why anonymous? Simple, privacy. This group, more than anything, is a passion project.

Bueno unos 11 años llevo produciendo, desde los 17 años de edad jeje. Con lo de los mensajes midi y entradas mutitimbre me refiero a que Reason no acepta los mensajes de entrada de que no sean los primeros 8 CC (incluye el PitchWheel y el Mod Wheel por ejemplo), y unos cuantos otros, pero por ejemplo si en mi controlador tengo una perilla o boton que envia un mensaje midi CC 53 y quiero usar ese control para modular algo en un VST pues no lo acepta; en el caso del multitimbre, yo uso el VST Omnisphere que es un vst multitimbrico, es decir que recibe mensaje MIDI de diferentes canales (del 1 al 8), pero en Reason sólo se puede enviar por el canal MIDI 1, de forma que si quiero usar 8 patches diferentes en este (u otro) VST pues no se puede, y esto es algo que se ha pedido en los foros oficiales de Reason y que siguen sin añadir.
