Although it's cool i don't think it can justify over $200 price tag. You can buy an Evolution uc33 for half that price and it seems like it can do more. Better yet why not just automate? It's free

The ability to change granularity of the controls is what interests me

But you can do this with almost any midi controller with a knob. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The lights are a gimmick. Some years ago there was a buzz around a cheap DIY version, Google Midi Fighter.

Edit. I know the Fighter has buttons but I'm pretty sure there was also a knobs version.

The MFT lights are useful as visual clues to show which knobs are mapped, and I color code all my EQ's, etc., for easier operation.

Each knob has a multi function on this device and whilst you can do ALMOST everything with a bit of tweaking on a regular midi device, you cant do everything..

Personally though I have an Akai Midimix which is a third of the price, has 21 knobs, loads of buttons and faders to boot. I have to configure a button with each knob to have the same functionality. but I'm ok with that though because I have a Launchpad Pro mk 3 as well so all basses are covered.

Yes, lot's of tweaking options. I wouldn't have bought one, I was just lucky to receive it as a Christmas gift.

It's a very nice gift though. I normally end up with a pair of socks (I'm Kiddin')

There I go again, puttin' me foot in it as usual. Sorry :)) .. it's really good to see you though. Do I manage the 'save' if I say Argyle Socks are the exception to the rule?

The thing that's gravitated to me wanting to buy one of these is the endless knobs. The knobs I use right now (on a Novation Launchcontrol XL) are set up for soft takeover.. that works, but I'd rather have endless knobs. I often just use a knob set up for "last touched FX Parameter" so it'd be nice to be able to just control the parameter immediately without having to pass that spot where the parameter is set to takeover control.

I have two UC-33e's and love them. The lack of Windows 10 drivers is one of the main reasons I'm still on Windows 7 on my music PC.
