    Ken Scott, eh. I'd like to see it. Maybe someone will grab it! Geoff Emmerick got far better results from them though, imho.

    big thing that attracted me to the beatles besides the songs when i was a kid was how 'electric' the guitars sounded. it's definitely the sound of 50's-60's technology. don't think i've ever heard that same type of guitar and bass tones since that era.

    used to listen to allan sherman records back then (hello muddah, hello faddah fame). several years ago i loaded a bunch of mp3's of his tunes to listen on a car trip. even so, there was a depth, clarity and separation to the instruments as well as that 'round deep warm' bass tone from that era of recordings. everything since then has moved towards sonic vomit.... frequency goulash
