I sense a lot of negativity around a company who made me do lots of work that made me an except-able amount of money...
the plugins I bought got updates, and got a new- sound makeover free of charge while still beeing able to use the old "sound"....

All I read here is about BAD consumer behavior, and cheapskate's that won't upgrade their rig......

But I'm also in favor of quality check before a product leaves the company.

I went to their shop and they have a filter for subscription products but it results in no results, so you may be on to something. But i think their "new era" involves AI like Tone empire stuff is doing

 

The original video was posted on their facebook page. For what it says, i think it's just a weird way to introduce the new website.

They had a N4 subscription on the old site, maybe it's that but hasn't been implemented yet on the new one.

 

Apparently they loved the Joshua "God's Testicle" marketing but they didn't have enough budget for its movie trailer. I mean plugin.

 

if you've never actually used Acustica Audio plugins in a powerful rig, you really can't comment on the performance and sound.
many people believe it's just a gimmick and that their plugins are nothing special but if you look at any hardware emulation shootouts like PULTEC or NEVE , Acustica is just as good as UAD if not better. Lemon is also an amazing delay unit, I haven't found anything close to it from another plugin manufacturer.

that being said, this video is very cheesy and honestly kind of embarrassing and I wish that the marketing team would realize that most people don't fall for this kind of shitty marketing that is made to look like some sort of luxury life style product or something.

that doesn't mean the plugins are bad though.

 

I'm the first to make jokes. But I think most people here know that many Acustica plugins/libs sound great.
Their support both to users and 3rd party lib developer are another thing.
